the only person he specifically named was an FBI agent years later. the media and randos on the interwebs and twitter do what you are describing all the time without repercussion as well. if this isn't a trend setting event the only thing that stands out is Alex Jones is a wrong thinker. I get that specificity isn't your strong suit but you gotta be a bit better if you don't want to catch a bunch of your fellow travelers in your net.he defamed private persons not known public figure, he made these people infamous by his actions , that specifically and the nature of his lies are what made this outcome happen, I really don't see this as any kind of trend setting event
edit my bad he also showed a video of a guy who went on the news and named himself as well and agreed with his chat that the guy seemed like he was off in how he acted. wouldn't say he was a faker but the guy was definitely acting like a weirdo on the news in public.
