Thread update on the whole issue. Looks like Paul Kessler had a confrontation with some fat pro-Hamas supporter who hit him with a loudspeaker which caused the Jewish man to fall down and hit his head on the pavement. Police have custody of the only videos of the incident actually happening supposedly.
Not sure they're all that mysterious to me. But, I am a skeptic. Please expand on your thoughts. (Or Maybe Don't Since I Know You Love Derailing This AntiSemitism Thread With Your Nonsense All the Time for Completely Mysterious Reasons)
Yes. Sorry, I have observed multiple comments of yours and it's always the old canard of "yes, but.." when it comes to the rise in anti-semitism. Sorry, but you don't get to say that without getting called on it. Not anymore. Are you saying what I'm saying is anti semetic?
It actually does matter. There's a small, politically motivated subgroup of people (not saying you are one of these people, just that you are buying what they are selling) who want to cause confusion by screwing up a perfectly well known word. You know what antisemitism means when someone uses it though. So do they. They just don't like being called an antisemite, so they try to f up the word.
There's a difference between gay and splitting off semitism from antisemitism. It's that gay is a single word. "Antisemitism" is a single word. It's like complaining about "Irregardless". Yes, technically, you can break down the word to "not without regard" = "with regard", but it really means "without regard".
Language does not work via lego blocks. Homophobia doesn't mean fear of gay people. Nor does Islamophobia.
Terms start from weird places, even hateful ones. It doesn't really matter though, what matters is how it is used.
Being a dhimmi sucks it’s second class citizenship. But it’s not slavery, and until modern times Jews preferred to live amongst Muslims than among Christians.Yes. In your last post, you actually had the audacity to argue that slavery for Jews under Muslim rule was not so bad? You really don't understand being a dhimmi, do you?
As for Arab-Jewish violence pre-1948? Have I got a surprise for you:

But I did not know about the fahoud the Iraqi pogrom.
And yes, we have a supposedly unlimited means of research at our fingertips. Please make use of it.
I found it in thirty seconds after using the search term "Jerusalem Riots 1941" (full disclosure, was trying to find more information about the Grand Mufti inspired riots in the 40s). I don't insist on exhaustive research, but humor me and do some homework. Wiki ain't great (granted). But it's a good "primer" on some things. In his defense, it’s kind of hard to research into something if you don’t know it exists.
Unless you are proposing that one cannot talk about anything without having done exhaustive research on it first. Which is absurd.
Good the police should have gotten earlier than 8 hours. It’s good that the police cited the protesters for trespassing (just because you protest does not give you the right to break laws) but why did it take hours. Maybe 1 hour 2 max. But usually it should be like 30 minutes.Protestors occupy University of Michigan administrative building for nearly eight hours

This thread is for discussion of antisemitism and discussion and incidents relating to that as per the OP, not general discussion of the Israel-Palestine Conflict or Middle Eastern Conflicts in General.
So incidents of anti-semitism that might've occurred as a result of the Israel-Hamas Conflict (especially in the West) can be discussed here, but not topics like Israel or Hamas war aims, morality or conduct etc.

Yes yes they are.Now this this is real Jew hate. These people are racists.
Antifascism actually is proof of my original point: a word's meaning comes from how it is used, not what the individual parts of the word mean. Antifascism doesn't mean "against fascism", because that's not how it is used. It means "the violent leftist group that calls themselves antifa."It actually does matter.
For example, when you understand that "antifascism" as a term for group (as opposed to simple opposition to fascism) appeared first in 1930 as part of Antifaschistische Aktion; and that said group was started by the Communist Party of Germany; it is then easy to understand that the very concept of "antifascism" is in fact nothing more than gaslighting.
Now this this is real Jew hate. These people are racists.
Umm those people were hating on Jews. Not the Israel. There is a difference. One should differentiate between the Jewish faith, Israel the nation, and the Jewish people. No more "we've no problem with Jewish people existing, we just don't want them to have their own country" anymore, huh?
But that's what happens - the nuanced position gets shouted down by the simple and extreme one.
