It won't be well. Brazil won't become anything close to a Portuguese-speaking USA, and sometimes I think the USA may be taking the first steps in the path of becoming an English-speaking Brazil.

No, what the Office of the President said was Putin wouldn't invade Ukraine while a Head of State was visiting Russia(and they were right about that). They very explicitly didn't say Russia wouldn't invade.
