Hopefully it's watchable entertaining.

From the average review on IMDB and Letterboxd the average score is 6 something out of 10 on the first website and on the second 3.1 out 5.0.

Since this is not a big bucks movie, it seems said results are GENUINE (unlike some movies we have circumstancial proof).

Must be funny - sloths could be killers,but giant sloths like Megatherium,not current ones.

I mean, if you look at some "projects" and "plans" by a certain international association, they were planning for having cats be surgically operated to serve as living and breathing "listening devices".

So that wouldn't be far from the truth.

Unfortunatly for the sloths and the world if they manage them as the did with the coof.

@Husky_Khan I lost count how many floppy movies he directed lately (so much so that he thinks it is a good idea to make a Gladiator sequel) but considering he hasn't put that many decent films lately it is better this way.

Sorry about the randomly late reply but...

The new Aliens movies he made might be pretty blah, I didn't bother with that Covenant one but The Last Duel was legit and though I didn't watch The Martian I heard it was great from pretty much everybody. He's made some stinkers apparently, mostly scifi stuff it seems but I don't think he's been overall a bad filmmaker IMHO.

If he's movies are flopping like The Last Duel did it's probably because it's too niche for a large audience to watch. Plus the YouTuber HEMA community kept shitting on it for retarded reasons IMHO.

People can look into any media and draw out whatever zany ideological messages they want to decry or reinforce. I do it all the time. Seems like a real reach for The Last Duel considering the subject matter and that the Middle Ages were a fair bit removed from Third Wave Feminism. Chances are the depictions and experiences of women then was likely shaded a bit distastefully to the modern sensibilities of some.

I didn't really like most of 2001. I actually had to go to the bookstore and read the end of the novel to understand what the hell that ending was. I saw the George Clooney version of Solaris. I feel like it's one of those movies that wanted to really impact me with some profoundly heavy emotionally resonant stuff but... it never really hit me. Nor did the film really "stay" with me so to speak.

Ironically that lack of any air of mystique or wonder like I expected from 2001 or Solaris is a big reason why I wasn't too interested in watching The Martian since it was basically a space survival story AFAIK, undoubtedly a very well told one.

Blah that's everyone in Hollywood. And Matt Easton/ScholaGladiatoria was always a big Liberal and one of the most prominent HEMA influencers on social media. I think it was mostly whining IMHO.

It's clearly not meant to be a historical movie but the Black Israelites are strong with this one.

It's clearly not meant to be a historical movie but the Black Israelites are strong with this one.

And there seems to be a strong anti-Western (which they call white over there in the states) masked as anti-Romanism.

Which is ironic because likely many of the things that made the modern world what is today was because of the Roman civilization, which into turn it trickle down to this movie.
