@Abhorsen

I finally managed to finish Evil Dead Rise. It is interesting how Cronin transformed it. From an audience point of view, it 0.1 better than Fede Alvarez's 2013 movie, that is if you take into consideration average ratings on IMDB or similar.
I can understand to a degree why Campbell and Raimi did trust him enough to produce the film :

Lee Cronin and the actresses from this video seem to be the definition of "caring more about story than what is hip at the moment".

Guilty pleasure of mine...shitty movie but still like it. Now that I think about it, it looks like one of those faux movie posters from Left 4 Dead 1 and 2.

You know what congratulations to Bob Iger, he's secured his legacy as the man who destroyed the company of Walt Disney.

Shareholders need to start suing the board. What was once a blue chip stock is now fast becoming worthless.

After many decades of unscrupulous and barely legal if not outright criminal business practices Disney is FINALLY getting what it deserves. No one escapes justice forever.

Geeky was right on money. This guy has no intention of letting Disney go and I doubt Kennedys leaving either.

Given Iger's lack of creativity, and his focus just on buying other businesses as the only avenue of growth, it wouldn't surprise me if he pushed through a buyout by Apple. It's give him a HUGE golden parachute and in his limited ability to actually govern or create anything, brokering such a deal would be a big win...in HIS mind.

I can't wait for the time after Disney finally collapses and the tell-all books finally start rolling out. I would love to know what kind of insanity is going on behind the scenes. There are going to be university business courses dedicated to studying the downfall of Disney someday.

Beetlejuice 2 - wedding set photos
Filming is now underway on Tim Burton's Beetlejuice 2 over in England, and People has shared some photos from the set this week that casts an illuminating light on what Winona Ryder's Lydia Deetz and her daughter (Jenna Ortega) may be up to in the anticipated sequel.
Don't scroll down if you'd like to be surprised, but the image above from the Tim Burton's original film gives a hint on potential plot points in the upcoming sequel.
Ryder's Lydia Deetz was of course the central protagonist in the 1988 classic, and her iconic goth-black hair with pointed bangs is back in action in these early sneak peek shots.
Warner Bros. brings the sequel to theaters on September 6, 2024.
Ortega ("Wednesday," Scream VI) is joining Michael Keaton in the long-awaited sequel, with Winona Ryder and Catherine O'Hara both returning.
Monica Bellucci (Irreversible) will be playing Beetlejuice's wife!
No word yet on plot details, but it's known that Jenna Ortega will be playing the daughter of Lydia Deetz. It seems like daughter might be following in mom's footsteps with a wedding, but her happy smiles indicate her husband-to-be likely won't be Beetlejuice.
Keaton recently said, "We're doing it exactly like we did the first movie. There's a woman in the great waiting room for the afterlife literally with a fishing line – I want people to know this because I love it – tugging on the tail of a cat to make it move."
Willem Dafoe and Justin Theroux recently joined the cast as well, with frequent Burton collaborator Danny Elfman coming back to compose the film's score.
The original Beetlejuice was directed by Burton in 1988 and has become a cult favorite. It starred Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis as ghosts who haunt their old home. When a little girl (Winona Ryder) accidentally unleashes a mischievous ghost (Michael Keaton), the ghosts try to drive the homeowners (Catherine O'Hara and Jeffrey Jones) out of the house

It's showtime for Winona Ryder and Jenna Ortega!

The two actresses were spotted on the set of Beetlejuice 2 in Hertfordshire, England, on Wednesday, filming what appeared to be a wedding scene as Ortega, 20, wore a tulle-laden gown — in white, as opposed to the red multi-tier ruffled one Ryder, 51, sported back in the original movie.

Ryder, who reprises her role as Lydia Deetz from Tim Burton's 1988 film, was dressed in her goth character's signature black and even sported Lydia's iconic hairstyle, complete with spikey bangs.

Back in March, multiple outlets reported that Ortega was in talks to star in the movie, playing the daughter of Ryder's character.

When Beetlejuice 2 was officially announced by Warner Bros. two months later, the Wednesday star was indeed billed as "Lydia's daughter." Michael Keaton is also returning to reprise his role as the titular prankster.

The Cast of 'Beetlejuice': Where Are They Now?

Ryder costarred alongside Keaton, 71, plus Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis, Catherine O'Hara, Jeffrey Jones and the late Glenn Shadix in Beetlejuice, which follows a shady spirit who helps a recently deceased couple drive out an unbearable family who moved into their home.

Days after Ortega's casting was announced, news broke that Monica Bellucci — who recently confirmed she is dating Burton, 64 — is among the new cast members in the sequel. The Mafia Mamma star is set to play Beetlejuice's wife.

Willem Dafoe also joined the cast and is believed to be playing a law-enforcement officer in the afterlife, per The Hollywood Reporter.

Justin Theroux is also set to appear in the Beetlejuice 2, though his role has yet to be revealed, while O'Hara, 69, will return as Lydia's eccentric stepmother, Delia Deetz.

PEOPLE confirmed in May that the sequel, directed by Burton, is scheduled to hit theaters on Sept. 6, 2024, 36 years after the original horror-comedy released in theaters.

I might have posted this already... forgot probably but my mind wanders after the last 3 years of craziness.

So I re-watched Villeneuve's Dune and I can understand the video a bit more clearly.

Denis basically does what Apple has done time and time again since Jobs died. Minimalist bland crap for easy digestion and consumption. The films has it's merits considering it manage to have a return, Momoa and Isaac's perfomances and some SFX... but other than that I can barely tell anything about the movie...it's not like the first Avatar movie but... I can't put my finger on it!

Well, you asked what could you expect, and turning arleady black character into black lgbt muslim jewish lesbian is sometching which could happen in movies now.
Oh that right.

Angel Studio' Sound of Freedom must have become really popular if this film trailer from 12 days ago is popping up in my recommended feed.

I will just say that this trailer has more "Catholic-ness" than the whole of Italy.
