And your stock "Well you replied so you care" response is rather dull, considering that contextually I'm saying your denial is meaningless, thus reaffirming my original statement. There was enough care in my original assertion to defend it from a flimsy denial.

If you want to understand Post modernism its basically this.
Left wing professors really wanted a socialist utopia, they were amped for the soviet union and then it came out that communism was a really horrible idea and it just murdered lots of people. Utopia wasn't possible. This was pretty much world shattering to these people because they really wanted this.
Now some responded to this with denile some thing we are paying for right now with the no true communism bullshit. Others accepted that you have to work with in human nature, and others dyed their hair black, put on black nail polish, played the closest thing the world had to Emo and sat in the corner and cried about how nothing matters man.
Thats post modernism.

Sounds like Chuunibyou Syndrome for adults who don’t admit how good they have it or the fact that this horrible “fascist” Western Civilization they live in would have long since murdered them and so many other Far Lefties like them, if it really was as they said
Also, work within human nature.....guess that explains all those State Capitalist types or believe that Communist governments should control or use Capitalism.....only to make a far worse monster not too different from those ideas of a “Fascist Capitalistic Nationalistic West” or “Military Industrial Complex” when their industries are strong or extreme welfare states which they more gladly laud
it runs the gammit actually.
You get state capitalists, people who want to use welfare programs to lift up the poor, social engineers, and some people who went the other way and became more conservatives and some who decided that freedom would have better results. You have to remember this socialism bullshit came out of the utopian romantic movements of the 1800s and when reality hit them in the face this whole movement shattered.
Because the world isn't perfectable, and human beings are chaotic and messy and life will always be some degree of fucked up and that is hard to take.

And people hate human nature, especially when it is actually clarified as to what all those guys against Communism actually mean, humanity being naturally competitive and greedy.....also the fact that you can’t exactly centralise everything or rely on doing that, because people who run things are flawed and may fuck things up with more power even worse
I think people honestly believe that the Qunari from Dragon Age are an achievable society or an ideal one.....even if it is a nightmare for one’s individual thoughts and feelings
They really are prepared to give away most of their freedoms for security
the motivation isn't security though.
People who are driven by security typically want a hierachical structor where every one has a place with a clear chain of command. Look at their structor, how they act and what laws they want.
The drive is equality if your being charitable and envy if you arnt. They are not driven by security, they are not driven by a love for those who have less they are driven by a hatred of any one who has more then they do.
Even if its just precieved that they have more then them. Before we had religion with its numerous rules to reign in this drive and the frankly scary shit its capable of now thats more or less gone and replaced with socialism.

Honestly, yeah, I do think they have that sort of constant resentment and willingness to point out how “impossible” getting better living standards is
But for a number, I think that “hatred” is shallow or has been replaced with an ego, specifically the middle to upper class ones supporting it, they want to be know as heroes

Also, the fact that college is both a waste of both money and time, people will want to just stick completely to STEM subjects and even then they will probably just go for Trade Schools, Apprenticeships or using the Internet to learn what they need
Let those guys wasting tons of money on a subdivision of Gender Studies, go broke, well they will use tax money, like an increase of it....or just wait for entire states or countries to remove it from their budgets.....unlikely admittedly
Also, perhaps like HP Lovecraft being referenced, maybe eventually people will go for those older and/or classic series
Hell, maybe they decide to look up works by rather unorthodox or unwelcome by the mainstream types like Larry Correia’s Monster Hunter International who weirdly enough have “diverse” characters

They will probably choose not to learn it, they won’t even debate it in good faith, like try to point out how Anarchocapitalism is bad and still explain why even a corruptible government with large bureacracy would avoid the same pitfalls of having lots of corruption and inefficiency
