you're trying to to use the obsolete version of the word "Semitic" to mean everyone who lives in the Middle East to try and obfuscate your blatantly obvious bias against Jews.
My dude, you really don't understand how science works do you, Jews are the genetic brothers of Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese, and they all share a common genetic lineage that stretches back thousands of years. There is nothing "obsolete" about it, unless you don't consider the brown Arab Jews "real Jews" which would expose your blatantly obvious bias against non-European semites.

You really wanna razzle dazzle with me on this subject kid?

My dude, you don't understand how language works do you, anti-Semetic means anti-Jew because that's how it's been used for a lineage that stretches back over a century.

Words aren't legos, you can't parse a word by what its individual parts say. Otherwise, Irregardless would mean the opposite of regardless, but in fact, both mean the same thing. I can cite other examples if you'd like.

A word is just a sound, associated with a picture (letters), that means something collectively and anarchically (there's no central authority) agreed to. Your attempt to parse out a word is just annoying and reveals you as ignorant.

I want you to understand this: it literally doesn't matter if we find out that actually, genetic testing was wrong, and no Jew has semetic ancestry and all arabs do. Anti-Semetic as a term has nothing to do with who is semetic genetically. Welcome to English.

My guess is he's well aware of all of that; he's just indulging in the oft-used tactic of bogging the discussion down in arguments over semantics, to keep the actual issue from being addressed. Namely; his obvious bias against Jews.

I think if one wants to use the word in the scientific-genetic sense and be understood, one needs to say something like "the Semite peoples" - which of course includes not only Jews and Arabs, but a lot of other groups (more of which than you might think are still around) who are not from the specifically "Hebrew" branch of the offspring of Shem son of Noah.

One of the things I was a bit surprised by during the time when ISIS was on its rampage before the Russians came in and stomped them, was all the strange little sects and religions I'd either never heard of before, or had, but thought of as something from many centuries ago.

Nestorians? Monophysites? What millennium is this? And what's a Yazidi? They're a Zoroastrian sect?

One might have thought that all such people had long ago been murderkilled to death and the whole region turned uniformly Sunni Muslim Arab. (Not yet, but the Globalist Left are obviously working on it!)

Took me a moment to figure out what the heck you were talking about; and personally, I don't think we actually agree, considering you're trying to to use the obsolete version of the word "Semitic" to mean everyone who lives in the Middle East to try and obfuscate your blatantly obvious bias against Jews.
If you think, that only jews are semites, then tell me,who are arabs and palestinians ?

What you wrote actually applies to all languages.
Other than French, weirdly enough (they at least pretend they don't work like that). IIRC, there's a central body for the language that tries to regulate it (it probably fails though).

"Anti-science". There's a science of how language works, in fact. It agrees with me, not you.

Antisemitism has to do with more than just religion, people who are antisemitic are generally against Jews ethnically and religiously, and a lot of the people who are antisemitic are also racist against Arabs. Imagine that! Hmm, wonder how that happens. It also helps to spell "antisemitic" correctly when ya'll are so casually throwing that term around at anyone who criticizes your precious states and governments you hold so dear.

First, anti-Semetic is actually a valid spelling. I'm shocked you didn't know that, given you professed understanding of how words worked.

Second, yes, it also has to do with being against Jews ethnically as well. But, and this is key, if the person who is anti-Semetic also hates Arabs, there's another term for that (usually Islamophobia, another term that can't be parsed based on splitting the word into two). We also have a general term for people who hate generally: bigots.

Seen the building.
France is very peculiar with its words.
