China Propaganda and Protest over Wuhan Virus

Oh, whoops, I was looking for a report on today's specifically. The whole thing was shocking because first my Dad mentioned it tome, but I saw he was reading from the Daily Fail so I thought "They're just making up the part about armed men entering the building for clicks". Then I found the pictures.

Fair. Reason has a limited staff, as it is a nonprofit. They don't have great breaking news because of this, so there will likely be something tomorrow. (sometimes its hidden in reason roundup)

There's a rather large amount of hypocrisy among the people either making the policies for the lockdowns or advocating for them:

Highlights: Scientist who called for Wuhan levels of lockdowns invites mistress over for sex while sick with Corona, Chicago mayor has her hair cut because she shows up on camera, Bill de Blasio traveling to the gym and to a park with his family, Trudeau calling for no travel on Easter before promptly travelling to see his family in Quebec, the whole Chris Cuomo (the tv presenter/journalist) debacle and Andrew Cuomo (the mayor) calling people who don't wear masks disrespectful, while not wearing a mask and near people who were also not wearing masks...

How the hell did these people manage to get in anything resembling a position of power or influence?

Tucker carlson is Based.

Something of an update on that scientist. He's resigning after his actions got out so at least he has some sense of shame.

I dunno about whether or not that's legal but what I do know is that declaring protest illegal is liable to generate a lot more protests then if you just politely discouraged it...
Its super illegal.

How many of these protestors will be Left-Leaning? Because I think they'll be going on about how unsafe and stupid and suicidal it all is to protest for their rights

BUT if even they join in, the MSM will have a harder time doing the narrative

The constitution cannot be suspended, the first amendment is always in effect, the only right that can be suspended is the right of Habeas corpus which is stated in the constitution in Article 1 Section 9 “The Privilege of the Writ of Habeas Corpus shall not be suspended, unless when in Cases of Rebellion or Invasion the public Safety may require it."

Who's treading on who's right to protest again?

In some magical world where I was the mayor of New York City, I would not ban protests. I would, however, discourage them marching in the streets and try to explain to the people that crowding together like that is not a good idea during a pandemic. I would offer alternatives, like writing a letter to my office laying out their grievances, and promise that I would not simply ignore them. Then again, I also wouldn't force people to stay at home; just make people aware that choosing not to do so exposes themselves and other to risks that my administration will have to account for, and might not be able to successfully.

Just like the Italian mayors.
