It's called having the ability to recognize he's a grifter who just latched onto Trump coattail, and cares more about clicks and views than facts, and his lies about what is happening in Ukraine.
Why not? We are NOT at war with them. Nothing from our administration has said you can't visit Russia. It's still a, relatively, free country, and each individual is welcome to travel where they want. It's NOT a smart thing to do for the average Joe b/c you'll probably get forcibly conscripted after being arrested for some made up crime, but you're welcome to go!
Not in a war with Russia YET, and the more people liek Tucker run cover for the Kremlin in what they have done in Ukraine, the closer we get pushed to that war with Russia.
Why should he have to stay? If he conducts interviews and comes back with some interesting view points inside Russia that counter or confirm what we're seeing now, that's not useless.
Because he is working as an agent of foreign powers hostile to the US and west in general, and the only thing this trip should do is unmask him for good, and unmask which people in the US are fucking moron's who will still support him after this.
The only reason a person from the west should be meeting with Putin is to kill him ala 'The Interview'.
Tucker Carlson is a news guy, who's pretty much unafraid to tell people what he thinks through his platform. That's a rare thing these days. You don't have to agree with him, you don't have to like him, but you have to at least respect that.
He's a grifter who got luck to get a ride on Trump's coattail, and now has his own ego pushing him own.
The fact teh Lefty news lies a lot does not negate the fact Tucker does too, and people on the Right trust him so much they just lap it up uncritically.

Lies about what is happening in Ukraine, lies about what Russia actually wants, and lies that generally are meant for Right-leaning folks who will never trust anything outside the echochambers he plays too.

How has he swindled anyone out of money? What fraud has he committed.
The lies about Ukraine, pushing the Kremlin's lies about their invasion, pushing lies about how Russia isn't our enemy "because they fight globohomo'.
The amount of people who threw away their critical thinking skills just because Tucker said something is astounding, and Tucker does what he does for ego, clicks, and greed. Anything beneficial he did 'helping' Trump was just a byproduct of Tucker's own ego.
