US Hospitals have been Concentration Camps - Nicole Sirotek speaks to Congress

TLDR: NYC Covid nurse, famous for picture crying in the hospital, says she was crying over the hospital killing her patient and that US hospitals are concentration camps. Brings up how covid patients are put in isolation longer than prisoners are allowed to be, and due to this got hundreds of hours without food, water, or having their position moved.

Woodrow Wilson wasn't a 'progressive' and it's stupid to call him such.

Teddy Roosevelt was an actual Progressive, back when it was a good thing and not insane; his works with the Nat'l Parks was pure old school progressivism.

Woodrow Wilson was a regressive, what with resegregating the US military, the KKK marches and such in DC, and the fact he wanted Versailles to be so bad in order to weaken European powers.

The Wu Flu changed many things, but it will never make Wilson a progressive.
To quote myself:
If I was stuck in a room along with Stalin, Hitler and Woodrow Wilson and given a gun with only two bullets in it, I'd shoot Wilson TWICE because it was his actions that enabled the other two.

Call me when we start executing the bastards.

I keep thinking about this short story I read where the super unpopular leftist US Government got tired of being made fun of by right wingers who kept blocking their attempts at a glorious New Utopia so they started a war with Iran as a smokescreen to clean house in their backyard. It even comes about after a particularly bad gaffe by the unnamed president that traps the press secretary in a feud with a "loud and obnoxious right wing radio host" that they can't win.

Link if anyone wants a bit of dread.
I'd say it's both more and less realistic than it might seem. Of course, the main issue is that the American Right would actually get off their asses and fight when the time comes. I'm not so sure they would; the American citizen is far too comfortable and distracted.

Any important points that can be summarized?

It's largely about the suppression of early treatment, and the risks of the vaccines.

My own father, who's vaccinated, got sick with COVID-19 and gave it to me. I'm just getting over it right now. It goofed up my sense of smell and taste, but I didn't have any respiratory issues from it at all. At the first sign of symptoms, I immediately started taking NAC, glycine, quercetin, resveratrol, vitamin D, famotidine, and diphenhydramine. That beat it back pretty solidly.

COVID-19 kills people with low antioxidant capacity by inducing severe oxidative stress.

When SARS-CoV-2 invades cells, you get calcium pathways up, bradykinin up, angiotensin II up, and NRF2 down. This sets off the ROS cascade by promoting catastrophic superoxide release. Superoxide reacts with nitric oxide to form peroxynitrite (this is provably the case, because the biomarkers of elevated peroxynitrite, elevated nitrotyrosine, are present). Peroxynitrite actually "uncouples" endothelial nitric oxide synthase, the enzyme that makes nitric oxide, causing it to spew more superoxide instead. Neutrophils come along and start dumping extracellular superoxide dismutase and myeloperoxidase. Superoxide dismutase makes hydrogen peroxide from superoxide, and myeloperoxidase makes hypochlorous acid from hydrogen peroxide and chloride ions. Hypochlorous acid starts stripping iron from heme. Iron, superoxide, and hydrogen peroxide react in the Haber-Weiss and Fenton reactions to make deadly hydroxyl radicals that damage the linings of small capillaries in the lungs, causing edema, blood clots, and pneumonia.

All of this is preventable with strong antioxidants, particularly raising selenium and glutathione levels so that glutathione peroxidase has ample substrates, or raising vitamin D levels to pump calcium back out of cells and prevent the activation of NADPH oxidase, or taking curcumin (yes, turmeric pills) to activate NRF2 and improve endogenous antioxidant capacity. This actually ends up being antiviral against SARS-CoV-2, ultimately, because anything that lowers your superoxide levels will raise your nitric oxide levels, and nitric oxide is highly antiviral against SARS coronaviruses because it directly inhibits the Spike protein. You can also directly raise nitric oxide levels by eating foods high in dietary nitrate, like beets.

The science on this is pretty rock-solid at this point.

thanks for the summary.

I hit it hard with NAC, vitamins c and D, zinc, and magnesium and diphenhydramine. I used ibuprofen to bring down the fever, I was sick for three days, no lung issues. On day 4 I lifted and went on a run lol.

I did lose my smell for a few weeks though.

I miss when Progressivism was with the "live and let live ideology".

I think to remember a quote that said that inevitably all ideologies reach an apex of totalitarianism.
progressivism was never about live and let live, you should not confuse it with classical liberalism.
Progressivism is all about megalomania, holier than thou, totalitarianism and "we are doing it wrong, but follow my scientific approach and forget stupid things like precedent and..."

I take multivitamins, selenium, calcium, vitamins D(1000 IU), K, C, zinc, omega 4-6-9, quercetin and NAC, Choline+inositol, Cherry concentrate and turmeric as regular supplements, I have never felt better adn I haven't had a cold in years, most of my relatives had COVID, there were a few times I felt like I am catching a cold, but everything clears up in a day, max. Also I try to walk 9 and more kilometers per day and I stay away from sugar.

I've never felt better.

This epidemic should have been a wake-up call for everyone to optimize their immune systems and lifestyles IMHO.

I had a scare myself a few days ago; thankfully Covid doesn't cause pain in your ear, so it was quickly obvious that it was just a cold.
