Ye Are Gods (Sign-up and OOC)

Alright I'm going to work out that God Item registry along with a bit of lore on how I made them, since the process and effect is definitely unique. You can still request items after its up, I'll just add them in later.

I'd be interested in discussing godly relations (Koy probably had a habit of attempting to help mortals defy fates, likely to mixed results) but my account's still too new to start PMs.
As soon as one of us is able to start a PM, I concur. 18 messages to go for me, if I'm not mistaken.
Go post in the Berserk thread then!

Considering asking for a giant scale crossbow a hero will operate as a Ballista.

Also, about what you were discussing about Handgonnes earlier, their usefulness only as weapons of intimidation has been greatly overstated, I think. I'm familiar with tests done by... I believe Ulrich Bretscher at Musketeer.ch, where he found (in possible, but very optimal) conditions he could reach energy levels as high as 1500J and reliably hit a target at 25 paces with a 17mm Handgonne, penetrating a 2mm mild steel plate. While in terms of velocity, and thus energy, his tests were certainly optimistic (the powder he used existed, but inferior powder was still heavily in use, and a lack of expertise with powder measurement contributed heavily to the poor reputation of Handgonnes, whereas his measurements were obviously precise), 17mm is far from the highest caliber that medieval firearms were made in, so I would not be surprised in the least to see some of the larger calibers (which could get well over 20mm) achieve post 1 Kilojoule energies. The youtuber, Cap and Ball, achieved 240j of energy from a .58 caliber handgonne, with what he claimed was a "light" charge.

Certainly, insufficient compared to the later advances, but worth more than a flash and a bang, anyway.

Anyway, I digress, it's just a bit of history I find interesting.

One thing I've been meaning to ask, are there magical items made entirely by mortal means? I assume they'd be weaker than divine magic items but do they exist in general?

I'd certainly imagine so. My Forge god is patron to making magical tools, and the Dwarves still exist and create magic items. I'm sure other factions and organizations produce their own in addition to that.

hey @Shipmaster Sane how would big squid react to someone who was unrelated to death of his daughter trying to impede his rampage? I assume immediate reaction would be violence but how much of a grudge would he hold?
He probably doesnt even hold a grudge against whoever it was who knocked his head off and sent him packing, particularly considering his direct revenge was probably complete one way or another. So anyone who got in his way wouldn't be his current enemy from his perspective.

My Dwarf avvie could make that for you. Shall we add the Lead Blades spell from Pathfinder to it and commence the cheese?
Range as well, tempted to do a kind of Game of Thrones "Super ballista" deal.

Have to think of a good music style for the big squid

If any of you have preferred musical styles that the Shadowed Dancer may have come up with for your gods, let me know ^_^

In that case that could make for a good reasoning why Koy was crippled if you're interested, he's a fan of helping the weak even if they aren't holding the moral high ground so it's quite possible he could've helped out the mortals getting genocided by Big Squid and subsequently got yeeted.

Hey all.

I am halfway done with the IC, but unfortunately, I will have to wait until tomorrow to post it. I am currently sick to my stomach and facing the urge to both eat and throw everything up.
No worries man, take your time. That just gives us more time to iron out the details.

Such as this, which I have an idea or two for, but need to ponder on.

Say anything new happening? Been focused on my work for university and was busy. So just wondering of course what I missed.

So from what I've been able to gather reading through the characters, this is what I've come up with for the list of what gods were on which side of the war:

Rebels:
-War (@FriedCFour)
-Shahrivar (@RandomNormie)
-Sahira (@Naga The Serpent)
-Koy (@Leepysheepy)
-Lravitus (@GravitysMomentum)
-Earon (@almostinsane)

Kingsmen:
-Azahiel (@DeTA)
-Tauphys (@Yukitama)
-Perzawlkhan (me)
-Ti An (@socsod)
-Pestocali (@ConvexAtaraxia)
-Amara (@Blue) (Initially Neutral, took up arms after Amenti's death. Considering War did the deed, I'm assuming she didn't join the rebels.)
-Khunji (@⚕⚕⚕) (Initially Neutral.)

Neutral:
-Artis (@FriedCFour)
-Viv (@Have You Seen My Son)
-Aiyami (@khatun)
-Haddock (@GrailKnight)
-Amenti (@Reimu Hakurei)

Uninvolved:
-The Shadow Dancer (@LordSunhawk)

Could Not Determine:
-Grandfather Vaad (@Shipmaster Sane)
-Eudaimon (@Hlaalu Agent)
-Intei (@S'task)

Currently at a 6v6 by the end of the war, a little more than half of the gods. These placements seem right to everyone/does anyone in the undetermined category have an idea of what side they'd be on?

Edit 1: Updated with input from players.

Thats accurate with the Caveat war would nominally be a rebel. He'd attack everyone and keep war going based on what target was best. This would include neutrals.

That's fair, I had put him there since he was the one to strike the first blow against the king, as I recall.

Amenti sided with whoever was losing at any given time, the exact opposite of War. Also fought to prevent major collateral.

After the 6v6 broke down into everyman for themselves it was mostly just helping out Gods getting pushed back(To prevent serious injury maiming or banishment) and again keeping collateral as limited as possible.
