Ye Are Gods (Sign-up and OOC)

Shipmaster Sane

You have been weighed
Made a replacement for Amenti, still working on it.

God Name: Kharkas
Title: King of Death, One Born of Ash, and Forger of the Divine
Gender: None
Alignment: True Neutral
God Appearance: still looking up
Personality: Moody as they’re stuck with managing and watching the dead. They stay in their palace but make items for the gods.
Opinion of mortals: They all eventually die and join the Underworld.
God’s Domain: The Underworld where rivers are a plenty and split apart the areas. They sit in their palace taking stock of all the dead. In their palace they have their grand forge where the items were made.

Avatar Name: The Grim Reaper
Avatar Appearance: tall slender figure with black robes of shadow. Light and happiness disappears at their arrival. A skeletal body that wields a scythe.
Personality: Kind as he transports the dead to their new afterlife and signals that their time has come.
Magic Abilities: Teleports the souls to judgement

Hero(es): Charon, the driver of the boat across the river Styx. He transports those that pay two coins of that society’s currency.
Reason: it makes management easier
Personality: Helpful as he calms down the sorrowful shades into their descent.

Terrain Preference: none

Name of Kingdom/Empire: The Underworld, this is the afterlife where you are judged and sorted to three sections.

-The Elysian Islands: a paradise for the paragons of good in their societies
-The Fields of Asphodel: endless fields of the dead, this is where most people end up in no memories just standing forever.
-The Pits of Tartaros: punishment for the wicked where they suffer endless torture designed by Kharkas.

Other: What else do you want to tell us?
I think the GMs should probably make the NPCs.

This guy is an impartial ruler of the dead, he’s a NPC or someone could play him. And it saves time.

Hey so I had an idea for a backstory element from before the war, relating to the creation of one of the earliest (possibly even the first) form of supernatural martial arts. To clarify, not DBZ style "everyone flying around shooting lasers and teleporting" magical martial arts, more like wuxia-level "meditating for days under a waterfall without need of food or water and having high-speed jumpy punchouts" supernatural martial arts, focused on surpassing one's limits rather than "spell-like" effects for lack of a better term.

My basic idea for its origin involved Koy and a very "Law and Order" focused god forming a "Gilgamesh and Enkidu"-esque friendship and rivalry, where Koy learned the value of order and discipline and the more lawful deity learned the merits of tempering one's will with chaotic and extreme situations. If anyone's interested in their god being a part of this and thinks they'd fit, or just has questions or suggestions, feel free to speak up.

Question, what's going to happen with the godslaying dagger now? Is it still going to appear in some capacity?

The death of a god. Especially in the first case should be fundamentally a break in the system of reality. A weird event that shouldn't happen yet has. Of course the death of one god sets a precedent for future deaths, but things should definitely change and never quite be the same after, and to a lesser extent, with each death after.

In other news being sick is fun. Not.

Well, if we're going to continue chugging along, I'll just get this WIP up for the Earth Goddess . . .

God Name: Ninsadi
Title: Pillar of the Earth, Mother of Calamities, Eternal Preserver
Gender: Female
Alignment: Lawful Neutral
God Appearance:
TBD
Personality: an existence that has remained unchanged since the primordial days, even before the Great War . . .

History: one of the first divine beings to emerge from the chaotic void, and the "consort" of Khunji until the pillars separating the earth and sky were established . . .

. . . currently slumbers deep in her Realm . . .

God’s Domain: having poured her essence into the formation of Ashariel, the very planet can be thought of as a material shadow of her domain. The Core of the World, buried at the very heart of Ashariel's lynchpin, is the pillar that holds the planet's fabric together.

Avatar Name: Brilliant Eleven Unyielding
Avatar Appearance: TBD
Personality: a being formed from primordial Heartstone.
Magic Abilities: possessing an inviolable body, mind, and soul, and capable of using powerful magics of preservation.

Hero: Iridescent Ten Multitude
Rank/Reason: the commander of the military forces
Personality: a

Terrain Preference: the homes of the Gemstones are far below the ground, deeper than even the kingdoms of the dwarves and gnomes. In this strange land where only worms and horrors roam, parallel to the spiritual planes of the Underworld, the Gemstones have maintained a society that has remained largely unchanged since the Great War.

Name of Faction: the Deepdwellers
Capital: Hearthstone — a hollowed-out city, carved from a stone that can be considered to be the physical manifestation of Nindi's residual love for Khunji.
Major Cities:
Skygard

Society:
[People] The Gemstones
There are few other species that can survive in the crushing heat and pressure of the Deeps. The Great Worms are chief among them; titans of invertebrates with a cold, ancient intelligence, who cannot eat the Gemstones and so make peace instead.

[Economy] The Gemstones, for the most part, care little for the worries and affairs of the upper world. Nor do they permit those among them to take advantage of the abundant material wealth scattered throughout the Deeps. Licensed traders and merchants receive a certain allotment of precious stones and metals per annum, and in return they bring news and curios down from the surface for the few eccentrics who care for such trifles.

[Politics] Largely apathetic, with any actions taken by Gemstones on the surface being completely the result of eccentrics who want to experience the wide world for themselves.

You got great worms too? Cool. I have the great worms as mounts for some of the cavalry.

I didn't see that, but I figure giant tunneling creatures have to come from somewhere originally. And where better than from a collaboration between the Earth Goddess and Tauphys?

Though if you want to keep worms as a Collective thing, I could instead go with giant moles or something like caecilians.

There can be different types of worms, I guess these ones are a different sect.
