If you want to criticize him for the evacuation, sure, I get that. But let's be frank, as early as 2009/2010 it was increasingly obvious what the end result would be so the fact they have had no planning for this contingency despite almost a decade's heads up-as well as the fact our intelligence agencies were so incredibly fucking wrong on everything this year alone-I don't see it as well advised. Blame Bush for getting us into this mess, Obama and Trump for keep us in it.
I'm seeing far too many takes, however, that Afghanistan was lost solely because of Biden. There's a difference between "we screwed the evacuation" and "we lost the war". Hell, I've seen Boomers argue Trump destroyed the Taliban (?) when he was President and they suddenly came back from the dead to win this year rather than this being the culmination of almost a decade of planning and attrition warfare on the ANSDF.
