Sorry. Didn't mean to imply they would go out of business or anything. The network will not tank.
As long as msnbc and CNN can stay afloat, so can fox.
Just that their ratings would drop significantly.

The $1B dollar man: Fox stock takes huge hit after Carlson exit - Washington Examiner
Fox Corporation’s stock lost $1 billion in market capitalization just minutes after news broke that Tucker Carlson departed Fox News. Fox Corporation, which owns Fox News as well as entertainment television and sports holdings, quickly plunged more than 5% after Fox News announced that Carlson...www.washingtonexaminer.com
Some of whom want DeSantis, who was in Japan doing "Economic trade mission". Plus next on his travel list:Ah suddenly a lot makes sense.
I knew that fox was anti Trump. The kids that took over are really really establishment. They hated whenever anyone talked about the election fraud or any serious anti establishment stuff and Tucker was one of the main ones doing it. They shut down a lot of reports that would make the establishment look bad. Tucker was allegedly going to release more Jan 6th footage but after that first bit they squashed that.
So they settled the dominion suit instead of fighting to try and quash any talk of the 2020 election and are using it as a excuse to get rid of their most popular guy that they hated. Because they couldn't just fire him for no reason.
I wonder how long they've been planning this? Certainly before dominion launched their lawsuit. They didn't really have a case so they must have known ahead of time fox wouldn't even fight it.
It cost them a lot of money but apparently they think firing their biggest draw was worth it.
What idiots. This has a good chance of tanking their network.

Him and Greg Gutfeld. So, that's Fox down the drain. He was basically single-handedly keeping them afloat, as I understand it.
Fox has chosen to get rid of their most popular news man
Do stocks have value? As in does Fox stock actually pay out a dividend or is the value in owning it?Wr shouldn't thing of this as a grave for Fox, it is the future they chose.
Fox Corporation sheds $930 million in market value after announcing Tucker Carlson is leaving the news network
This is literally Fox saying to Disney and NF "hols my beer".
They lost almost a BILLION in stock value because they fired one man.
And I doubt Tucker will take this lying down, if he goes to their competitors or even gets a small team of like minded people together he can probably take away more of their audience.
If anything, it will be lovely to see him completely unshackled and with an axe to grind.
Always has. Fox and Murdoch don't give the beginning of a fuck about politics, it was always about market share for them and that requires at least a minimal amount of coordination with the ideological opposites. Heck, the Dominion leaks reveal that Fox is more scared of OAN and NewsMax than their fellow legacy outlets. It's amazing to me how much Fox seems to WANT to become part of the MSM...
More accurate question: Who cares? Tucker was barely worth watching in YouTube clips, do you think anyone outside of immobile retirees will watch whatever no-name they replace him with?Big question is who'll get the 7:00 PM CST slot on Fox News Channel?
A.) Jesse Watters
B.) Dana Perino
C.) Bill Hemmer
D.) The Field
I remember when Joe Rogan disappeared from the mainstream too. Tucker won't be inflicted on left-wing forums that still feed from the Legacy Media's table nearly as often, but he'll likely still reach around half of his audience at a minimum. I don't care for Tucker, but he has a Name and that's frequently more important than actual talent. Look at the success of the Daily Wire and Breaking Points if you want examples.I'm guessing Tucker Carlson will fade away from the mainstream since his words will no longer be distributed to millions and millions of people via one of the biggest news networks. Sure, he might be able to join a smaller news outlet or setup his own show or podcast, but he isn't going to reach anywhere near as many people.

Until Tucker starts streaming whatever the hell he wants.at least Whitehall will have fewer Tucker clips to flip out over.

Meh, not sorry to see him go after how many times he uncritically regurgitated Russian propaganda about Ukraine, or after how many times he's acted as ridiculous 'controlled opposition' to make the Right look even more farcical.
Tucker only cares about his own ratings and PR; any help to others is a secondary effect of his own desire to soothe/push his ego.
