So back on topic. I'm guessing Netanyahu is getting booted after the war, if nothing else than letting this atrocity happen on your watch will likely damage his career. Israelis rally behind him now, as the war is ongoing, but I don't see him staying in power in the next election.
I'm guessing the Israeli left, as a political force, is dead. It was on life-support after 2005 and seeing how the Gaza pullout blew up in Israel's face, but now, after this? Eh, there's a fair bit of distrust for Bibi specifically as you note, as this happened on his watch. IDK how this ends, but that could rub off onto the right.
I figured it'll allow for the even more far-right parties to gain power. I don't see the more Palestinian friendly leftie and centrist parties overtaking Netanyahu after what we saw October 7.
