Probably, but we've seen as of late how much those laws matter to those running the show.that can't be legal, and has to be some form of discrimination
Didn't the US do something similar already with the whole medicaid tax mandate thing?that can't be legal, and has to be some form of discrimination
Discrimination, when they do it, is 'a positive thing'.that can't be legal, and has to be some form of discrimination
Yup, and it's not a new thing. In 1905 the Supreme Court ruled that laws requiring vaccinations are Constitutional.Didn't the US do something similar already with the whole medicaid tax mandate thing?
Good luck with that, people are already sick of this shit. Push any further and it'll explode. I know I am about ready to; I'm fed up with this BS.Yup, and it's not a new thing. In 1905 the Supreme Court ruled that laws requiring vaccinations are Constitutional.

If you don't get your shots don't be surprised if there are consequences and you won't be welcome everywhere.
True, however there's an addendum with this.Yup, and it's not a new thing. In 1905 the Supreme Court ruled that laws requiring vaccinations are Constitutional.

The law the guy objecting to included a fine for those who didn't get vaccinated. SCOTUS said that was OK too so calling it a tax instead of a fine is a matter of semantics.True, however there's an addendum with this.
They are planning a tax.
And with a tax they run into other constitutional issues.
Knowing SCOTUS sided with this in 1905...I feel like this sort of thing is going to end up back in SCOTUS if people try it again. The law the guy objecting to included a fine for those who didn't get vaccinated. SCOTUS said that was OK too so calling it a tax instead of a fine is a matter of semantics.
If it helps, I think that shadiness has more to do with the government wanting to assert control over your bodily autonomy than the vaccines themselves.I'm not anti-vax overall, it's just the sheer shadiness surrounding the COVID vaccines, how the various governments are overreacting and so on that has me very distrustful and unwilling to take any of them.
It is diffrent. A fine is a ome time payment. You can avoid getting it again by avoiding what you did last time etc.The law the guy objecting to included a fine for those who didn't get vaccinated. SCOTUS said that was OK too so calling it a tax instead of a fine is a matter of semantics.
Every conservative should read this article. ESPECIALLY those in power.
Abigail Shrier might be leading the new republican charge if this article gains steam, because those in power have to realize by now that THEYRE LOSING. and have been for DECADES. The culture war is LOST. It's going to take a lot of work to fight back.
And without mentioning it until the end, it actually sort of summed up what I disliked about Trump, while showing what I view to be the right path.
I voted Trump, I liked that he was an attack dog, but I thought he was kinda too much on the "chest thumping," side. Which is satisfying to us, other right wingers and anti-wokes, but it doesn't win arguments. We like to watch the lefties get owned, but we need to win arguments and minds. The simple chest thumping on it's own isn't enough.
Then on the other side, she addresses the "aww shucks" David French types. Who are arguably, even worse than the chest thumpers. They just want to write papers, look intellectual, and let the left trounce all over them. They're tereified of being tarred with lefty attack terms. They're fucking pussies.
The answer is in the middle ground of these two. Which is where I think people like Desantis fit in. Willing to be Stern, willing to fight back, but also making solid arguments and points, and Not just chest thumping. And not wasting time trying to fit the mold, and appeal to the lefty language, because the language is intended to confuse. We don't need their language. We have a language. Use Clear spoken English and be stern and forthright, without the need to necessarily be insulting.
That's what will win things back for us.
Desantis 2024 please.
And now I need to go start digging into what Rufo has been up to
Do you trust the CPAC results?Yeah this is why I get frustrated over things related to Trunp...as Shrier says, it may be emotionally satisfying but it doesn't actually accomplish anything except pissing off the moderates who are very much otherwise opposed to the Left's agenda.
I am wholeheartedly in favor of DeSantis 2024 as well.
