Eh, probably not, but they're certainly not interested in more federal control, as seen by them having passed several constitutional amendments in direct contest with some federal regulations (as already shown by the example of automatics in OK). Granted, these haven't really come to any kind of legal fight yet, but it is a statement of "Go Away".

Oh, lovely. They've sent me a mo-ron.
Honestly I don't get why this is even news, but I keep seeing people sharing it. A colonoscopy is totally normal for someone his age, and when the president goes under it is normal for VP to assume the seat for the duration.
Look at his physical appearance. His time's nearly up.

It's more because Kamala gets to be Acting POTUS for a bit, and are getting to call her 'Madam President'.

Trump did that with Pence too, it's normal if a president is going under anesthesia.

Edit: might have been bush/Cheney. Or maybe both. Not sure I remember entirely clearly.

@The Original Sixth so looks like Biden is fucking up the Boycott of the Winter Olympics as well.

Excellent.

well obama did warn us not to underestimate his ability to fuck things up.

No, this is good news. Well, good and bad. It is good in the long term, as it will probably escalate to China severing trade relations with the US. That will both doom China in the longterm (although that is already certain) to generations of poverty and internal strife, while probably breaking the last real connection the US has to the outside world, apart from Europe. The bad news is that everything made or assembled in China is going bye-bye, which includes a great deal of mid-range chips. So things like cars and fridges are going to be fucked for the next 2-3 years, as are many things we used to get from them on the cheap.

While the shipping crises also lasts until mid 2023, at least.

I don't think you get what is going on.
We are still sending the US team there, just no diplomatic members....
It isn't a boycott unless you stop fully

It's a slap to the face of China. This is an escalation, though I admit it may not fully escalate to breaking trade relations. It's only late November. We'll have a better idea of what may or may not happen in early January. Until then, there are a lot of ways this could go, though the trajectory is always south.

I am all for saying fuck you to China, BUT it isn't that big of a fuck you, they still make money off of American Athletes....

The world is already on a downward spiral, and fucking over china works wonders
