I'm both impressed and bewildered by how many are staying. When the mayor themselves is acting against you, and is clearly determined to keep doing so, why on earth would you stay?

It's hard to find a job with equal pay, unless you've gone through some sort of training program or schooling.
Police aren't getting rich, but they're making a solid middle class income. Going from that to flipping burgers or stocking groceries isn't a great move if they want to keep their homes and support their families.

No that isn't a consequence of intersectionality its a conquence of how a zero sum mentality works in real life.
After victory you have to decide how to devide the spoils, and some people will get more and some people will get less because their is only so many reasources to go around, which nets you fights, bickering and even full on purges that you get post left wing victory.
