Rheinmetall CEO stated that 155mm shell production by their firm could be ramped up to 450-500,000 shells a year though he tellingly didn't give a timeline on how soon that could be achieved. He also did state they were working with Lockheed-Martin in producing the HIMARS system in Germany as well.

According to the Reuters article he states they could also make 240,000 rounds of 120mm tank ammunition like those used for the Leopard 2 tanks. Currently they apparently produced 60-70,000 rounds each of tank ammunition and 155mm rounds.

By mid year a new production line for Gepard ammunition will also be online since manufacture of those rounds ended back in 2010. They are also planning the construction of a new powder plant in Saxony BUT that is dependent on funding from the German government.

Needless to say there are costs in billions as detailed in the article!

Denmark, Finland, Sweden and Norway plotting the concept of creating a unified Nordic Air Force.

Along with well over two hundred fifty modern combat planes this would also potentially involve development of increasingly coordinated regional air defense.

Prime Minister of Canada Trudeau is visiting South Korea and believed to be part of the summit is the discussion of Canada looking to acquire new submarines. Canada is looking to purchase twelve new conventional attack submarines to replace its aging Victoria-class Submarines that it received from the British Royal Navy back in 2000.

But it's not just South Korea that could potentially partner with Canada in supplying them Submarines.

The Korea Times said:
Canadian military officials reportedly visited the shipyards of Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering and HD Hyundai Heavy Industries in Geoje and Ulsan respectively on May 10 and 11. The two shipbuilders jointly developed and manufactured the KSS-III submarines.

Korea believes the KSS-III submarine has an advantage over its Japanese and Spanish rivals, because Japan has no experience exporting its submarines to other countries, while the S-80 Plus suffered various problems, such as weight issues, during its development process.

Sounds like a casus belli to me.

So the Union of Kalmar rises from the dustbin of history.
Sweden is more valuable than Turkey because the Swedes don't have to deploy a substantial part of their military keeping a large chunk of their country seceding. Don't have a blood feud with another alliance member and add a substantial industrial component to NATO. Oh, and haven't invaded and continued to occupy half their country.

If they can get Iceland involved for logistics purposes, they'd have additional reach and control for the North Atlantic/Arctic. Then again, since Greenland is under Danish control, there may not be a need for Iceland to become involved.

It'd act as another barrier for Russia and China.

As part of Polish Govt's panic buys/PR efforts/electoral campaign promises/whatever:

From my understanding Poland is wanting to build the largest and most effective land force in Europe for the political weight that comes with that.

This Gov't is quite likely to end after the next elections (date TBD - between 15.X and 5.XI), hence the completion of all the anoounced "deals" and "advanced talks" is rather suspect.
Poland - like many other countries - is not known for long term planning.

Unfortunatelly our eunuchs still do whatever USA and Berlin order them,so there is no any political weight.
We should copy Izrael and demand from USA money for being their carrier in Europe. And fuck off from our affairs, too.

Considering, that media belong to opposition,i think, that PIS would win even with all mistakes they made.

Really funny to watch...for those who live in other countries.

Israel has the benefit of being in an oil rich region. Europe has no actual value to the US strategically.
