Russian Invasion of Ukraine 2022

Carrot of Truth

War is Peace
I don't understand the Ukrainian insistence on keeping some of their best forces at the Donbass front. Like seriously their capital is under siege what's the point in staying there and risking being encircled?

Excuse me, are you trying to convince me that a podcast run by a leftist activist of very long record going way beyond even the Russia\Crimea stuff who happens to be taking Russian state money through RT and Sputnik is an objective source?
Also Alternet, Al Jazeera and NYT. Very objective, right wing conservative and pro-west.
Sounds a hell of a lot better than CNN if you ask me.

If you can't attack the message , then attack the messenger.

keeping nothing, they are getting boiled in a cauldron.

So about that War going on...

Sounds of explosions rumored in Belarus. Most alledging it's just the sonic boom of Russian aircraft.

Drone footage of reported artillery strikes on Russian forces around Kharkov.

Twitter thread detailing the alleged description of the Battle of Vozenrsensk where a Russian Battalion Tactical Group was mauled on March 2nd to 3rd.

Alleged video of a Ukranian combatant striking a Russian troop transport with a M72 LAW or similar.

Reportedly footage of a Ukranian drone operator bringing artillery Fire down on a Russian Buk Air Defense system that was spotted.

Slovakia in talks to provide their S-300's to Ukraine and desiring immediate replacement system from it's allies if it does so.

Allegedly military exercises:
Intel Slava Z

Also, I think that the S-300s will be delivered the same way those MiGs were, e.g. they will not be.

Well... 2, 3, and 4 are just wrong.

So I wouldn't put much stock in anything else this guy has to say.

Nor should we put much stock in you as you been consistently proven wrong. You were for Snake Island story after it was proven false. You were for the VDV failed at Hostomel despite it being bullshit and a Ukrainian Officer outright stating they failed to retake it. You also can't grasp that Ukraine lost the war. All it is doing is prolonging the inevitable and getting teenagers ground up. The sanctions will not work and the Saudis are now leaning to selling oil for Yuans.

More logistical support coming in. UkA stings are irrelevant at the operational level. They will be ground down into dust.

Comrades, sorry for blowing the shit out of your city, here is candy. But in seriousness, a lot of military aged males are getting through.

The best map of the actual situation on the ground.

Try as they might, the UkA is unable to mount strong enough counter-attacks and as they are forced to throw more teenagers on the line with just 3 days training. Every success the UkA gains is reversed by the Russians who counter-attack in turn and gain more ground and grind up more of UkA's forces.

You should really realize that you going "Oh this Russian Twitter Bot says otherwise" isn't actually you proving anybody wrong about things.

That's literally a map made by some random Russian's...

The idea that it's at all accurate is laughable. Doubly so given there's direct evidence it's wrong.

Most likely an RPG 26 as the M72 iirc hasn't been in production in a long time

Russian Military continues to systematically destroy UkA Depots and Factories.

Nothing to see here comrades, we are merely exercising by throwing shells at the Ukrainians.

Bill again demonstrating he doesn't smoke his own stash and grasping the UkA is losing.

Edited like crazy, and likely livestreamed to UkA HQ. RPG rocket exploded under the truck, shredded the engine and likely the driver's legs. Driver unable to use the brakes, used a power line to stop. Troops in back unharmed.

UkA fighting like hell to hold onto southern half of Izium, they know if they lose it, they have no further natural barriers to defend from short of the Dnieper as the Russians will be on an open plain.

You should really realize that you going "Oh this Russian Twitter Bot says otherwise" isn't actually you proving anybody wrong about things.

1. It was actual video evidence plus the Ukrainian MoD's own public statement, plus a WSJ article. Try again Comrade.

2. So what? You have no more an accurate map than anyone else. And given the constant back and forth of the fighting as both UkA and RuA pursue aggressive attacks and counter-attacks per their base doctrine which they both share, there will likely never be a 100% accurate map. But overall, the Russians are advancing and grinding up the UkA which is losing combat effectiveness at an increasing rate. Russia can afford its losses, the UkA can't not with large numbers of Military-Aged males fleeing and being forced to arm teenagers.

4 Ka-52s lost so far, well below their replacement rate.

Also, Oryx's list is incomplete, has known errors, and means nothing, which was pointed out pages ago. If we grant 100% accuracy to his lists, Russia could easily afford 5 to 1 losses and come out ahead, that and as the Russian MoD releases more video evidence, it is becoming clear the UkA has lost more men and vehicles than Russia has. Kherson Base alone was a Brigade Base containing Divisional Assets and was overran pretty quickly with its vehicles and ammo captured and its Garrison basically disintegrating. Also a good 70,000 of the UkA's troops are trapped in pockets, 10,000 alone in Mariupol. As those close, Russia will be getting the bulk of their gear back and UkA will be losing the bulk of its professional troops.

Finally, Ukraine is throwing teenagers on the front with just 3 days training and is short on rifles and ammunition. Russian Recruits are being sent in with a minimum of 6 months training. Also the Foreign Legion got wiped, and Ukraine's ability to make and distribute war material is being systematically destroyed.

More reinforcements. Putin is making it clear that he will have victory. A clear and decisive one.

All nice - but,you claimed, that tsar colonel is winning and that is why KGB do not made war on twitter, but in RL.
Now,you are showing memes about captured ukrainian stuff - which mean, that KGB is trying to win on twitter.

Second thing - ukrainians captured papers from 810 brigade of russian naval infrantry stating, that war would end till 6.3.2022.
We have 16.3 now,and KGBstan is getting nowwhere.

But,since i want to belive in intelligience of KGB mafia which rule Russia,i have explanation - they lied to their army, and are waging war in a way to destroy not only Ukraine, but also russian army - which otherwise could made putch and save Mother Russia from KGB.

Of course, colonel tsar could go senile and really is losing war becouse become idiot.Sad end for psycho and sociopath,if that was true. But - he turned Russia into second Venezuela when he could into second China,so...

P.S even if KGBstan win, they arleady lost Ukraine - even people in Charkow who once loved Russia now hate it.

behind a desk
This does fit into the picture of an army that structurally didn't change that much since WW2, and the communications equipment problems demonstrate why it couldn't even if it wanted to.
After all, during WW2 some allied and axis generals alike had to show up close to the frontlines personally and ended up playing glorified traffic cop on occasions, notably including Patton.
Communication issues aside, it could be a doctrinal thing of wanting senior officers to see things for themselves instead of sitting behind a desk and relying on reports.

Apparently another two Panamanian flagged ships have been struck by Russian missiles.

The article mentions three but one was at the beginning of the War. Apparently there's still ten ships in the Black Sea but supposedly are impaired from departing the area by Russian forces for some reason.

So there's vid of an ambush on 2 Russian T-72's in Mariupol.

This is what happens to tanks when they do not have infantry support in urban areas.

Edit: Also, at least one Ruskie general got geolocated and yeeted because most Russian generals are using unsecure comms.

Its one, the commander actually got out and took cover though it looked like his left leg was injured. And judging by lack of fires, it was a bait Tank deliberately sacrificed for this purpose. I heard of its use in Chechnya, and it was an effective way to get the Chechs to reveal locations before columns went in. Sucked to be the commander and driver picked for the job. Driver can use the escape hatch and hide under the hull till the follow up team comes to extract him if the commander didn't order the UR-77 to just level the street instead. The commander has to bail and risk MG fire. The gunner was pulled out, and since his controls are duplicated on the commander's side, he can fire the Coax to entice the ambush.

Russian logic here is to lose one tank instead of having a fully topped Tank get hit and trap forward motion and the rear vehicle get hit in the back. The Tank will be picked up and sent to Depot, it will be back. Russia has thousands more in storage.

Not even close.

The commander never made it out (his hatch never opened), it had a full crew (that were hit again as they dismount, one guy getting lit on fire and flung several yards to the side of the tank, plus the guy in the ground near the front of it) and only one of the crew looks to have survived the attack.

There is also the second tank you can see smoking towards the end of the video.

This was likely a breakthrough/recon-en-force unit, as 72s are more mobile than 80's.

If this was a baiting attempt, it's doubtful they got off enough useful intel to actually give thier higher ups a target to hit.

Another Twittery Update.

Information on the theater being used as a shelter struck by Russian forces in Mariupol.

Some US Officials estimate seven thousand Russian dead almost three weeks into the conflict.

Also according to US Officials, Ukraine's Air Force has managed about 5-10 sorties or so a day, mostly in strikes against Russian invading forces, while Russia is managing around 200, but not all of them entering Ukrainian air space. Also estimated close to a thousand Russian missiles have reportedly been launched.

Suspected Russian KH-31missile struck a farm. Unsure if this was the anti-ship or anti-radar variant and how close to its target it came (actual popular theory is that it was intercepted by Ukrainian air defenses).

The Mayor of Melitopol who was earlier abducted by Russian forces was exchanged for nine Russian Conscript POW's.
