Terrible comparison, had legitimate targets, and the accuracy of WW2 bombers, well...
As Dresden had been largely untouched during the war due to its location, it was one of the few remaining functional rail and communications centres. A secondary objective was to disrupt the industrial use of Dresden for munitions manufacture, which American intelligence believed was the case.

Two good videos came out today on the war, first is on the journey of the Russian 200th Arctic Brigade from its support of the DNR/LNR in 2014 to its degradation and near destruction in 2022.

Second is a short on how Ukraine halted the Kyiv offensive, far more propaganda in this one since it's made by a resident of Kharkhiv of course, but unlike the fandumb you'll find on reddit, it gives a 'healthy respect' to the enemy.

It’s all just pointless slaughter by this point. What a pathetic, petty little man Vladimir Putin is. And he dares fancy himself as heir to the legacy of the Tsars?

Russia needs a strong hand to take it out of this mess. It won’t get it with Putin.

Which tsars? becouse Ivan the terrible/coward/ personally helped genocide Great Novgorod, when for 5 weeks each day 1000 people was tortured to death.Including children.
some Tsars in 19th century do not liked death penalty - so instead prisoners were beaten to death.

And Moscov problem ALWAYS were strong hands, instead people ruling themselves.

Putin is former KGB. That should tell you enough.

There is no former KGB.Putin said it himself.Kill him,and next putin would pretend to be liberal, and after 10 years attack again.
Only soultion is remove entite kgb,BUT HOW ?

P.S @WolfBear ,Democrats have it in their political genes. They just MUST gave something to Moscov for nothing.

Give him time,my friend !
Besides,USA try replace current polish goverment which support Ukraine with german opposition/Tusk etc/ which would stop using polish territory to support Uraine, becouse germans say so.
Ukraine fall, and thanks to bad poles !

I'm pretty sure that virtually all Poles support Ukraine. And Germans have soured on Russia as well over the last several months.

The Wizard of Kyiv has successfully hijacked that part of the Dems psyche in keeping the war as 'the current thing' so far. Heck, I'm 99%+ sure the Pentagon since Feb 24th has given more fucks about the Ukrainian military than it has given to the US military over the last decade cumulatively! Russia would've regrouped, attritioned away Ukraine's army with the massive artillery advantage that they were finally bringing to bear and turned their victory in Severodonetsk and Lysychansk into a major problem if That Guy and the rest of the corroded brass in that building only cared about them as much as they did for our forces in Afghanistan in 2021.

edit: and no this isn't a knock against Ukraine.

It appears Kyiv may be worried about another attempt on Kyiv from Belarus, if they actually did this.

Is there any confirmation of this other than from Belarussian/Russian state media?

Also, apparently Belarus is claiming that Ukraine blowing up the bridges is some kind of prelude to invading Belarus. I'm no military expert but, if you want to offensively cross a river in the near future, blowing up all the bridges does not seem like the best plan.

It's a blatantly defensive move in basically every playbook there is.

If they're planning on trying to have literally an invasion of nothing but light infantry, it might be a decent fake-out, but that's a terrible plan just in general.

I've seen speculation this is something that may be happening to both preempt any second attempt on Kyiv, and something Lukashenko authorized to give him an excuse to keep the army home "to defend against possible Ukrainian aggression" instead of sending it to actually take part in Putin's war.
