Russian Invasion of Ukraine 2022

Theory that the Ukrainian Offensive in Kharkiv is intended to cut off or threaten Russia's position in Izyum further to the south and east.

Ukrainians allegedly struck a Russian Depot containing numerous quantities of S-300 missiles.

Sampling of Weapons Captured from Russian Forces in Kherson including IED Jammers, MANPADS, and anti-armor munitions.

Ukraine is Receiving Polish Warmate Loitering Munitions.

The circle of life. Something lost is found again in the Kharkiv Offensive.

Nah, they are going to turn Kherson into a pocket that is pounded by arty 24/7 and only supplied by raft, and that's only till the attack out of Kharkiv cuts/get's in range of the supply lines on the other side of the Dnieper too.

The fall mud season is in about 10~ weeks, and once that happens tanks and heavy vehicles will by stuck on main roads till the heavy freezes.

The Ukrainian's don't need to assault Kherson, they need to pound it and hold the Russian forces there, so those Ru forces cannot break out to hit the attack out of Kharkiv.

If Ukraine plays this right, they can push into the rear of the Russian forces, before the ground turns to mud, and force the Russians back into the Donbass before the of the year.

I think Ukraine can get it's 2014 borders back, and remove Russia from the Donbass, if they can keep fucking over Russian logistics chains so their material reserves and Nork purchases are render moot.

Edit: Also, looks like around 48k Russian's have been killed, based on this document and some simple math.

No, that isn't the major advantage. If the Ukrainians take Kherson, they can cut off the water to Crimea and with long weapons we've supply them, take out the train bridge that connects it to Russia.

Yes, all that is true.

However, retaking Kherson is going to be a bloody urban brawl, and those are to be avoided if at all possible.

Containing the troops there, and hammering the pontoon bridges/rafts used to try to resupply them, will bog down a large amount of Russian forces.

Retaking Crimea will be easier if the Ukrainians aren't forced to expend massive amounts of manpower in an urban brawl beforehand.

Explanation of Possible Ukrainian Strategy in their Kharkiv Offensive in short Twitter thread.

Belgorod in Russia has it's power knocked out. Could be caused by Ukraine but honestly... Could also be Russia being Russia.

Russian Forces coming under fire whilst crossing a Pontoon Bridge over the Dnipro allegedly.

Russia Requests a UN Security Council Meeting over 'The West' sending weapons to Ukraine.

A British Humanitarian Worker named Paul Urie was captured by the Russians back in April. While in Russian custody he died reportedly due to "illness" and "stress."

The Russians relinquished his body which allegedly shows signs of torture.

Isn't the water sourced from the Dnepr, Ukraine having the hand on the tap anyway?
Or is the tap IN Kherson?

and with long weapons we've supply them, take out the train bridge that connects it to Russia.
Bridges are notoriously difficult to destroy. Also - Crimea can be supplied by sea.

Still should wait for confirmation. Right now AFAIC it's just facial recognition. The truth should reveal itself soon enough considering its being reported as a Lieutenant General and I can't imagine the last time an actual General was captured in combat in the middle of a War.

Ukraine Reportedly Launching another Offensive Operation Southeast of Kharkiv.

Speaking of Kharkiv, yesterday Ukrainian President Zelensky pointed out that one of the HIMARS struck a depot near the city that stored Russian S-300 missiles used to bombard said city. The Russians responded by bombarding Kharkiv soonafter those statements were made with more S-300 air defense missiles.

US Intelligence Reports Russia is in the process of Acquiring 'Millions' of North Korean Artillery Shells and Rockets.

Pyongyang is learning from this in preparation for its own eventual special military operation which it could launch in the 22nd century or so once it will reach population parity with South Korea, especially if the US will once again descend back into isolationism by then, which is probably unlikely.

Good to hear that Ukraine is focusing on Kharkiv right now. Lure the Russians into Kherson and then have the real focus be Kharkiv where the odds of success for the Ukrainians are greater. Kharkiv was also the Ukrainian SSR's first capital city so a victory in that region would also be symbolic for Ukraine.

Allegations that Ukraine is Making Serious Headway Towards Kupyansk which in theory should threaten the Izyum Line of Advance for Russia.

Keep in mind this was earlier today.

Ukraine Weapons Tracker has been posting captured, abandoned or destroyed Russian Vehicles all day from a trio of BMPs stuck in a river, to artillery vehicles including SPG's, MRL's and a fire control vehicle being captured and the first documented capture of this upgraded BMP-2 Variant.

Aftermath of Russian Convoy Being Ambushed, Reportedly in Kherson Area.

Bridge Leading to Kupyansk was Blown Up by the Ukrainians Apparently. It'll make reinforcements... and retreating... a bit tricky for Russian forces.
