Russian Invasion of Ukraine 2022

Haven't done a spam post in a while... let's see what I gathered that's barely notable...

Around the same time Russian ships and subs were sinking in Sevastopol drydocks footage shows yet another Russian T-90M destroyed by a Ukrainian FPV drone. It apparently tossed its turret a bit as well. This occurred in the Kherson Oblast.

A Ukrainian ST-68U "Tin Shield" Medium Range Air Surveillance Radar was reportedly taken out by a Russian Cruise Missile over seventy kilometers behind the front lines.

A Ukrainian RQ-20 Puma Drone Successfully Intercepts a Russian Missile, Survives the Encounter.

Also Germany announced a significant military aid package around the same time. Most notably more Marder Infantry Fighting Vehicles but also drone packages, mine clearing armored vehicles, anti-drone systems, and heavy logistical vehicles.

And little wittle Denmark announced a military aid package worth almost a billion dollars of various systems and munitions to be doled over through 2025 and includes support for tanks and other armored fighting vehicles as well as air defense equipment.

Well, looks like the compensation for dead and wounded in Russia is giving us a real glimpse into their casualty figures.

This seems to assume it's ALL going to the KIA/WIA and none is being eaten up by both legitimate administrative expenses or being siphoned into the 'Let's buy Shoigu a new superyacht as soon as the sanctions drop!' fund.

Although OTOH... probably more evidence that Russian artillery units are being used as a blocking force to prevent retreat or surrender... as well as that entire Russian units are possibly being destroyed to the last man.

Article from The Drive on the Ukrainian Use of M109A6 Paladin 155mm Self Propelled Guns with commentary from a variety of Ukrainian sources, and one Russian MP as well.

Some Autist Defense Commentator Wrote up a SEVENTY TWO Tweet long thread on ATACMS, the long range guided missile that can be launched from M270's and HIMARs systems that is rumored could be delivered to Ukraine in the near future. He discusses the system itself, its history, and arguments for its delivery to Ukraine.

Rest in Peace Jericho Magallon, a US Army National Guard Veteran of Las Vegas who volunteered for service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as a military policeman before being discharged in 2016. He apparently traveled to Ukraine in March of 2022 and served for ten months leading a squad of foreign fighters before returning home. However he returned back to Ukraine and was killed in fighting in Bakhmut in September of 2023, allegedly by a Russian drone strike. He's the eighteenth American veteran to be killed in Ukraine including both military volunteers and humanitarian workers.

The United States delivered an industrial sized 3D Printer to Ukraine that is reportedly truck sized to help Ukrainians repair equipment more rapidly.

Rest in Peace Colonel Andrey Kondrashkin, apparently the Commander of an Airborne Brigade and veteran of the Siege of Mariupol. He was reportedly killed by Ukrainian fires.

Heartwarming/Breaking Story of a then seven year old Romchyk Oleksiv who suffered burns on almost half of his body during a Russian strike on the Western Ukrainian city of Vinnytsia where his Mother was taking him to an Doctors Appointment. During the rocket attack on the city center his Mother and the Doctor and twenty five others were killed with over two hundred others wounded. A special hospital in Dresden, Germany accepted him as a patient where he underwent surgeries as often as three times a week. After a year of treatment and an initially minimal chance of life, he recovered enough to return home to Ukraine and his Father.

Does anyone else note that Russia’s capabilities at butchery go through the roof when they get to target civilians instead of Ukrainian military personnel? Was there anything remotely military in nature about this target, or is this how the mighty Rodina gets its jollies?

Worthless cowards.
They never cared about their own soldiers,so why care about enemy cyvilians?

One of the rockets hit a Military Officers Club and killed three Air Force officers. The Russians post facto explanation stated it was a big meeting between Ukrainian Military and Foreign Military Representatives and most were killed.

Operation "I Want to Live" by the Ukrainian Ministry of Intelligence has been setting up defections from the Soviet Military across the combat lines. Apparently 21 operations have been completed to retrieve Russian military members. 1 of which was the MI-8 Pilot that landed his aircraft in Ukrainian territory, titled Op "Titmouse."

Apparently, that was a huge success because applications to surrender to Ukraine have increases by 70% or more.

And just announced, apparently Biden told Zelensky that the USA will be providing Ukraine "small numbers" of ATACMS Missiles, as reported by NBC News.

I'll believe it when I see them used; Biden's flip flopped and slow rolled to much shit for me to think this is real and legit 'this time', till we have actual use.

Biden said the same thing about F-16s a while back too.
