Star Wars Star Wars Discussion Thread - LET THE PAST D-! Oh, wait, nevermind

I recall it being claimed somewhere that his gimmick is that he gets "star wars news from the future" which puts him in even more dubious territory than the youtuber Doomcock and his "sources".
It was the source of some minor controversy in 2018 when some fandom menace types reported on a claim that Ryan Johnson and a few other TLJ crew members mocked Mike Zeroh.

Zyobot

Just a time-traveling robot stranded on Earth.
As another thought experiment--and potential story, depending on how set on writing I feel--I wonder what'd happen if Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and perhaps also Ahsoka Tano were sent to 1978 Earth as ambassadors?

For one, they'd eventually piece together that a certain science-fantasy movie depicts the future of their Galaxy somehow. Or at least, what would've been its future, had the butterflies not been released. Earth's reaction to meeting actual Jedi will be another significant theme to this scenario, so there's that.

Star Wars will be celebrating its 50th Year Anniversary (Lucasfilm being founded in 1971) by re-releasing three Star Wars 'Legends" Continuity novels with fancy new covers. Presumably these three books will be the first of more to come.

The books are Heir to the Empire by Timothy Zahn, the first book of the Thrawn Trilogy which really helped launch the Star Wars 'Extended Universe' properly when it was first released. Also Darth Bane: Path of Destruction by Drew Karpyshyn which chronicled the famous ancient Sith Lord Darth Bane and his creation of the 'Rule of Two' and finally Shatterpoint by Matthew Stover which is a Clone Wars era novel starring Mace Windu.

Looks like Red Letter Media (or at least Jack Packard) is hopping onto the whole "all critics of Star Wars are alt-right" bandwagon; despite the fact that they built their name on criticizing Star Wars. I don't know if he honestly believes this garbage, or if he just caved to the pressure of the regressive left in the hopes of saving his own skin; either way, I'm not watching any of their videos for a while.

I hope he's the only idiot out of that bunch. I'm going to be real disappointed if all of RLM starts singing this tune.

He's not one of the main three (Mike, Jay, and Rich), he's one of a few different guests they sometimes include in their stuff.
He is a close friend of theirs though, and does show up more frequently than any other recurring guest. I suppose we'll just have to wait and see how this plays out. I doubt they'll publicly condemn what he said, but if they stop having him on as frequently for a while, that could be a positive sign.

hey, don't hate on the rock people.
There were a species of cool rock people in the EU, who gave Mace his purple lightsaber crystal after he fixed a broken rock guy up with the force
Still not as cool as the original SF misunderstood rock monster:
