Being isolationist is stupid.
Understanding how the world works and making sure that no one does anything because you will level them is also a good strategy.

Don't confuse isolationism or interventionists for being good and evil when it is more nuanced.
Being isolationists never go well for the US
Yeah I wasn't taking either side, although I would probably lean more isolationist than interventionist, while being neither (although I'm not losing any sleep over the Houthis getting the shit bombed out of them lol). They both have their upsides and downsides

I don't see Vivek doing good in 2028 due to how he performed here.

Oh I agree Trump did it in the proper way as did Reagan.
I am not advocating for Haley.
Being strong and able to throw your power around but only using it when needed is key to projection

He also increased the budget of the US Military and was willing to throw around the forces to tell other nations we will fuck you up if you try anything.
He wasn't scared to strike when strikes were needed etc.
That is the strength, when you dint need to have combatants in country to be effective.

And that is a reason we see them as a big enemy of ours in the military
Time to wipe PRC off the map ASAP.

PS: So happy Kissinger finally kicked it!

Yes that is where everyone should be. Combination of the two

Agreed
Trump is being told to take vivek up on as VP by all of his trusted sources. He's the shoe in.
I doubt he will choose vivek.

I think Vivek wants a post more...useful than VP, with his views.

I expect Vivek may end up as either Press Secretary, head of the Treasury, or maybe Secretary of State.

I doubt Vivek would be press secretary. He has his own business & etc to run, he's a multimillionaire entrepreneur, not a reporter or professional 'be in front of cameras' person.

Head of Treasury? Maybe. He'd probably see that as a place where he could try to implement useful reforms that would benefit the country.

Secretary of State? Maybe if Trump wants a blunt object; Vivek is extremely America-first, and while not outright isolationist, he is non-interventionist more than I actually support. From him, you could expect a foreign policy along the lines of 'if you aren't an explicit ally, don't expect any support at all from the US.'

So I'm seeing about 53 Trump, 45 Haley in NH. Obviously Trump wins, but I don't think it's enough to kick Haley out to pasture.

Trump 54 to Haley 43 more than a 10 point spread.

Considering her massive investment into the state and how this was gonna be a bad one for Trump while we also had people coming out of the primary openly saying they were dems voted Haley and are going to be voting Biden in the general? She should drop out now. Also Republicans need to shift to closed primaries/caucuses in response to this.

I think it is worth putting a cooling off period on switching parties and voting in primaries, in order to curb intending to vote against that party in the general while sabotaging it in the primary.

However people who are independents should have the option of voting in one primary or the other, but not both.
