I didn't screenshot, it said something about giving the donated money to "real charities" because the truckers were an occupation or some shit.
I hope the truckers make it true.
as soon as I heard they were rasing money on there I thought, "they're not getting paid out for that."
When this news broke it was just a duhhhh moment. I mean, who didn't see this coming? I would have actually been surprised if it played out any differently.
Anyone not aligned with the approved narrative needs to realize that your protests will NEVER be seen as peaceful, and the powers that be will ALWAYS try to stop them. This isn't a left vs right thing, but power dynamics. This is just how shit works.
Anyone who didn't think GoFundMe wouldn't follow the same exact thing they've done to others before, is too stupid to be organizing a child's birthday party, much less a massive protest.
Truckers need to go TO the Go Fund Me offices next.

Yeah, agreed, and only an idiot will believe that the scumbags at GoFundMe are actually working with the organizers about the "charities" or will actually honor (or even inform donors about) refunds like they're purporting in the Medium page.
EDIT: Well, well, isn't that interesting. I just posted the Medium link in the comments of a few videos critical of the GoFundMe freeze of the funds with a short statement that GoFundMe is supposedly giving refunds with the information in the Medium link, and it's not even a minute before my comments have disappeared. That's totally not suspicious at all /s.
