Also from what I can tell-in most countries, its a few people with the disease each. Its not spread to millions or even hundreds of thousands of people.

In my view, it seems likely to eventually reach some sort of wall. With maybe a few more thousand people dead. Before vaccines and warmer weather stop it.

But that's me being realistically optimistic.

Yeah I'm still not even convinced the mortality rate is even 1%. There's probably a significant amount of under reporting for diagnosis. 80% of those who get the Coronavirus get mild (even for seasonal flu) symptoms and probably don't even get tested for Covid-2019.

Plus with warmer weather coming it'll probably be on the decline like most variants of influenza are.

I created a meme that I believe accurately represents the level of danger we are actually in. Note the attention-getting choice of colors. At first, I thought the caution stripe behind the biohazard symbol was laying it on a little thick, but actually, it sets off the whole aesthetic perfectly.

Normal Flu can do those things too if you have a weak immune system, and other things including Sepsis and multiple organ failures. Even common fairly low end viral infections like Chicken pox, measles or Mumps can cause similar complications or worse depending on which part of the body it spreads to.

Corona Virus can do those things, and this new strain isn't doing anything older strains haven't demonstrated. This strain is different in terms of its rate of infection, but is milder in other ways including morbidity and mortality.

If you want to get worried find some numbers and verified sources. Telling people this can happen when the chance is like 0.0002% is likely to cause panic and harm long term health of the community.

In other words, verify from official sources and produce some numbers before you start doomsaying. It's getting to the point where this is the opposite of helpful. Verify first, speak second.
