In a multiple warlord situation, aren't the assets too spread out for that? One nukes, the other nukes back, and a third party benefits from the murder-suicide.

Though honestly, considering how disarmed the populous is, I wonder what any of them can really do. We already saw at Tienanmen Square what their response to protests is, let alone people trying to make a serious fight with whatever they can get their hands on. It would take a split in their military and/or party apparatus to accomplish anything most likely.

That's part of the issue; there are political divisions within the CCP, and Xi humiliated himself with how the Olympics were run, making him... not necessarily vulnerable yet, he did a lot of successful power consolidation over the last ten years, but in less of an impregnable position than he was.
All it would take is one more big catastrophe he can't control to set the stage for either a political coup, or a civil war. And if the precedent of PLA soldiers firing on each other at the orders of different CCP officials is established, it can *very* quickly spiral out of control from there.

Thus making the confusion about JnJ being taking out of circulation orc decertified a month or two later seem all the more odd.
J&J had issues with the virus-bits they used sometime not being as inactive as they thought, and some weird clotting stuff if I remember some British news articles correctly.
Frankly these days the J&J vax is probably the one I'd feel most comfortable taking, if I was forced to chose, as it is a regular old viral-bit vax, not that weird mRNA gene therapy shit. Clotting can be mitigated easier than cancer.
This is true for now, it will not be true forever.
