Uh...the Russian MOD has claimed over 30 something TB2s have been shot and only like 4 have actually been shown, and 1 or 2 of them have been reused to show supposedly shot down ones.
I take even more then a grain of salt from them compared to that of the Ukrainian MOD.

A Flying Bundle of Sticks
Update. Didn't even have time to do the materiel or strategic portions, just cranked out a Maneuver/Operational update. The combined conclusion is that Russia's territorial gains in Donbas are not worth the price they're paying for them. I've literally lost count of how many Ukrainian videos showing indirect fire deleting tanks - sometimes entire companies of dug-in BMPs - in the last week or so. It's fucking nuts. And the attrition of ORLAN-10 drones is wild. Seems to have picked up four-fold.
Also, the Russians seem to love digging armored vehicles into treelines, which isn't really that useful for them given 1. the cover vs. shrapnel isn't that useful, esp. given frequent Ukrainian use of laser-guided shells and 2. in the terrain they're fighting in right now, there's just not that many treelines and they're usually really damned thin, so they're not really harder to find. Terrain that is well suited to maneuver warfare means maneuver warfare - the tanks should be moving. The ideal method of employment here would be to hold the armor back some distance (so they're harder to find and attack, and Ukrainian drones have to be larger, longer-ranged ones of which there are fewer and they have to overfly more AA and MANPADS en-route) and dig infantry and ATGM teams into the treelines. The trees provide local material (logs) to add top cover to dugouts, infantry actually DO have a chance of hiding in those sparse treelines from drones and using decoys + extra foxholes even protects from laser-guided precision artillery attack. They delay the enemy while the armor mobilizes towards the fight to conduct a mobile counter-attack; maneuvering over the open fields and fighting like tanks are meant to fight.
The Russians just seem to be digging themselves into early graves in these treelines.
