No shit its good against short range stuff.

Nixing the purchase over the Muslim Brotherhood-friendly crowd on the far-Left has just pissed Israel off severely.

I cannot think of the last time Israel pulled their ambassador from the US.
Honestly, it's probably for the best. We cannot be counted on as an ally anymore anyways.
Excuse me but so fucking what? We aren’t responsible for Israeli funding. They can pay for Iron dome itself. We should not be paying for their security we should pay for ours.

Uh, you do know this wasn't about funding Iron Dome, which is already funded and operational in Israel.

This was about the US purchasing Iron Dome systems for ourselves.

The fucked up situation around Israel made it a very good testing ground for active defense systems. Part of me wonders if that is part of the reason that politics blocks permanent solutions for the shit show.

...that would make a disturbing amount of sense.

It's outside of the parameters of Iron Dome to intercept most of the stuff THAAD and other long range systems are designed to do. It's great that Iron Dome can intercept rockets that are flying predictable paths and there's obviously a place for it in defense but it'd be silly to just think "Oh the Israeli system is good enough. Lets ditch THAAD for 'reasons.'"

You don't need to ditch THAAD. But THAAD is not good at what Iron Dome does. Which is short range interception.

Ahh ok I misread what it was about my fault sorry. Yeah if the Israelites are willing to sell us iron domes we should buy I hear they are pretty good.

THAAD is better long range

I'm not contesting that. I'm saying that for short-range threats, you want Iron Dome. Even if we just fold that into a future THAAD system, that's fine. It's just insane to not admit that Israel has a good defensive system. One that we should acquire, even if it's not actual hardware, but just knowledge. There is no better tested system of this sort than Iron Dome.

I mean, I don't think we should be subsidizing Israel's defense for $1 billion a year--but I also don't want to defund them because the Squad is butthurt that they fired back on Palestinian terrorists.

You are right, there is no better tested system

Shit, they don't need illegals to vote - all they have to do is print off ballots and just bring the boxes full of crisp, unfolded mail-in ballots to get counted to turn any election they want. Probably the reason they want these people is that they're convinced they can replace middle America with them to run all the machines and to work as a servant class that they can just deport if they become displeased with them. Just listen to how these lefties talk about them - "who else will clean the toilets?" :cautious:

Can't wait for the FBI to ignore this

If you're going to use a source the Daily Fail is just about the worst one you can cite.

Satire sites which just make shit up typically present things more accurately than they do.
