Guess he realized the students would never vote for demonrats again if he didn't extend the debt-pause.
That was my reaction too.
I had planned to start full repayment on Feb anyway, this just means I can get further ahead.

My daughters both want community college for the first two years. That's about $18k for both if they live at home instead of the "you could buy a nice house for that" it would cost to send one them to the University I went to for two years before room, board, and fees gets added on top of tuition.
My wife taught them well.

I would hesitate to include Rumsfeld and Powell onto the list, given their involvement in George "9/11" Bush's invasion of Iraq and the whole shitshow that followed.
