Ye Are Gods (Sign-up and OOC)

I see. I can see how that will work.
The same does apply for Scarra but I can see the nation being extremely untrustworthy and likely to break contracts with mercs or get them killed to avoid payments. That accurate @DeTA

Could everything north of the Collective just be a frozen wasteland? Nothing but ice, snow, and the mountains.
That's a lot of territory others might want.

I will have to agree with @FriedCFour there. That is too much territory to take out of play for others.

I've narrowed down possible locations to being near that big bay up north of the collective or the triangle shaped island and its nearby smaller island on the southern edge of the left continent for Jihaka, haven't decided which yet. Don't want to be too far away from perspective looting locations possible trading partners, after all.

(Also if no one wants to be a taker on 'former lover of the crazy-goddess' I'm probably going to edit in a thing where she no longer actually remembers due to her fall partially breaking her, methinks. I'm not sure of Aiyami's involvement with the wars and the rebellion against Azahiel just yet, either x.x)

Would Aiyami be more of a gold digger or be the bride of the king?

I'd be interested in taking a part of the lands north of the Collective as a large collection of small lords fighting constantly over beast-roaming lands. Think like the Border Princes in Warhammer.

I'm not sure what'd be more interesting however between the Northwest chunk, or the Northeast chunk. @almostinsane care to give your opinion? I'm leaning towards Northeast however.

They'd probably end up a mixture of mountainous forests and some grasslands.

I am thinking more of my character, but I am thinking his hell would be a mixture of the Outer Darkness and the Cave. Where you are stuck in an abyss, for a near eternity, where you can dimly see THE GOOD, and its light filtering down in metaphor, but are separated from it and you languish knowing that it was your actions that distanced yourself from it.

Though it wouldn't an eternal punishment, and would only be for those who truly transgress, beyond even a hands off and forgiving god could. But it is not just punishment, but a harsh rehabilitation, for it is possible to climb out of the abyss and to return to the world outside.

Initially she was more like, 'courtly love'/pure, as opposed to how Blue's goddess was more 'impure love' as they said, before Aiyami went bonkers and her portion of the domain of Love was granted to one more worthy (in this case Blue's Amara) Something like that anyway.

As to the 'now', with Aiyami holding sway over Obsession, Temptation, and Assassins, I don't want to say she's a 'gold digger' per se, but depending on whether or not she 'remembers' the one she views as having scorned her she might try and replace the hole in her heart with who/whatever can distract her the best. I kind of like the idea of Jihaka being littered with all these incomplete palaces and towers from prospective rulers trying to impress her but never finishing them before they get offed by a rival or offed by a displeased assassin-priestess.

I'd lean towards northeast since that will see more interaction with the other civilizations.

What I mean to say is if you can see it being Artis feel free to add that.

It's an entire culture based around being secretive shadow cabal members, so if you have goods or services that are needed expect getting undercut or betrayed. That is, of course, also having to deal with the fact there aren't any coins backed by the government or anything to deal with.

We do, however, have an enterprising spirit who has created a large public ledger of transactions who rarely distributes some form of tender backed by the populace. Sometimes he forks it off but so far it's been relatively stable.

People have started to catch on to this and are creating their own derivatives but so far the original, which has been christened as "Scarrabith", or more simply, a "Bit", has most of the public trust, a rather rare thing to have in Scarra.

@almostinsane Thinking about the civilization, I am going to write up, got an idea, so might you reserve a spot by that inner sea for it? Also I am thinking that, it would have scattered cities in other places, either as ancient colonies or trade posts that became independent cities in their own right.

@DeTA So what do you think of my god so far? Think he might have been at one point part of your god's court before things went pearshaped?

A fiat currency based off of debts and favors owed like some kind of massive bookie operation. That's amazing.

Ooooh. We'd have to figure out what caused the falling out then, but I could definitely see it, especially with the false-decadence Aiyami tries to surround herself with.

As i work on my app, i can say i have a somewhat-eldritch comsmopolitan nation that is big with trade and wasn't involved in any of the past God Wars (more or less taking in those displaced by it to boot). So i need to find a spot fast, it seems, before they all disappear. XD

Any ideas where on the map might be good for this?
