>It's a war between United States and Russia
His guest is a certified idiot then. By this logic USA had several wars against the Soviet Union and we're distinctly nuclear apocalypse free. So with that context it's no big deal to have a "war" against Russia. Wake me up when there are F-15's in Ukraine with totally Ukrainian pilots speaking surprisingly good and unaccented American English.

Also a little tip for you people who dream of a "multipolar world" for the sake of competition to Pax Americana...
Can you get actually decent competition to be the other "poles" of the world first?
You are doing the equivalent of making a video about why Fords suck, and you need to give competition a chance...
But you don't talk about Toyotas and Volkswagens for what the competition should be.
The competition you propose are Ladas with no ABS and airbags, some cheap Chinese cars with no safety rating at all and shoddy construction, and some weird buggy made in a third world garage that barely drives. Then you act shocked and surprised when the audience arrives to a conclusion that Fords aren't so bad at all if this is what the supposed competition is, you are kinda making them look good all things considered.
In one sentence, you are making the crumbling and barely functioning liberal world order look good by comparison if you want Russia and China to be world powers of a "multipolar world".

Tl;Dr because I dont got time for that video

It seems to be about the lack of open discussion and transparency in the modern world, he complains that one cannot have an adult discussion about anything in the public sphere.

Lol... He talks about how MSM just love to repeat the government lies, and won't go after politicians. That's not exactly how I remember them acting under Trump. They talk about "censorship" but by whom? It's censorship by private businesses acting in their own interests, by giving the majority what they want as businesses always have. "Censorship" by the public, deciding what they like or don't, and yes, trying to get rid of voices they disagree with. There's hardly anything new in that. Just look at how loyalists were treated in the revolution, abolitionists were treated in the south, isolationists in ww1, how suffragettes were handled. The McCarthyist witch hunts... There's dozens more examples, just from American history, never mind world history.

Well, duh. Do you really need anyone to explain to you why Trump got treated the way he was?

What I'm hearing from you there is that you are discounting the problem on the grounds that the people doing it are not "the government" - never mind that it's a problem with society.
Oh, and you are perfectly okay with it.

It was obvious since many weeks that their position on this side of the river is untenable. There were signs of preparations for withdrawal almost as long. Now the question is, can Russians turn this withdrawal into an organized one for once? We will be able to measure that by the amount of intact equipment and supplies captured by Ukraine soon.

Rob Lee has a nine tweet thread on the implications of the announced Russian withdrawal from the Kherson Area north of the River.

Some of the points.

1. He doubts its some sort of trap.
2. Parts of Crimea will now be within range of the HIMARS/M270 GMLRS.
3. If Russia can withdraw without heavy losses, especially to their heavy equipment, they'll be in a stronger position south of the Dnieper River and in nearby Zaporizhzhia.

A mere one month after Southeastern Ukraine, including its capitol of Kherson, overwhelmingly voted to be annexed by the Russian Federation. What a betrayal... :sneaky:

Looks like over 40,000 square kilometers could be liberated if its not some sort of feint/trap by the Russians.

I'm withholding judgement of how well the Ukrainians do / how poorly the Russians do until after the withdrawal is completed and/or annihilated since while the Izium / Lyman offensives retook massive amounts of territory, Stalingrad 2022 they certainly weren't despite initial reports. Also more than somewhat skeptical of the fkhueg losses the Russians are reported to have taken in the last weeks... by the Ukrainians... who weren't taking much of any ground for the last few weeks until Kherson finally broke.

The Russians just blew the rail bridge over the river in Kherson.

I'm also seeing images elsewhere of cell phone signal trackers that are all clustering on the evac point on the west bank of the river, and loan cells phones floating down the river.

It appears about 20k Ru mobiks and contract soldiers are about to swim the Dnipro, because pontoons get HIMAR'd and they barely have any amphib IFV's or boats available.

Russia is potentially about to lose more men in a few days at Kherson than they did in all the years of their Afghan War.
