Russian Invasion of Ukraine 2022

South Africa asks Russian President Vladimir Putin to please not come to South Africa for the BRICS Conference this summer as he could be subject to arrest due to the International Criminal Court ruling.

Russian Oil Train Derailed North of Bryansk sixty kilometers north of the Ukrainian border after an Explosion/Smoking Accident on the Rails themselves.

Ukrainian Su-25 Attack Aircraft Equipped with American supplied Zuni Rockets.

Cluster of Russian MANPADs allegedly destroyed by a Ukrainian drone dropped munition after being left out.

Alleged account (the individual uses a pseudonym and the picture is AI generated) of a Russian (Lumberjack by trade) who volunteered to serve with the Donetsk Peoples Republic and Battle the Fascist UkroNazis or whatever. Long story short, most of the people he knew in the unit died or were wounded as was he when he got shrapnel in the throat. He spent weeks in various hospitals during which time all of the money he made and all of his belongings were stolen and even his military financial account/bank card was drained by someone using ATM's in Donetsk. He was also discharged from the DNR military without compensation.

Chairman Milley of the Joint Chiefs estimates casualties roughly higher then 200,000 for Russia and perhaps as high as 250,000.

Pentagon meanwhile clarified it's own casualty statements made by John Kirby about Bakhmut and that those estimates of 20,000 dead and 100,000 total casualties was for the whole front, not just Bakhmut.

A second train derailed in Bryansk, just north of the Ukrainian border, by an explosion on the rail tracks.

One organization has managed to deliver over a hundred privately owned armored vehicles to Ukraine.

Addition to this story. Around 155 privately owned armored vehicles crowdfunded and sent to Ukraine from the United Kingdom.

Isn't Krasnodar several hundred kilometres away, in the Kuban region?
Then again, placenames are not unique ...

Krasnodar Krai is the region (informally also still called the Kuban region), and Krasnodar is its capital city. The Krai extends to the Crimean bridge. In any case, Krasnodar (the city) is under 100 km to the East from where this is happening, I think.

Apparently not too long ago a pair of drones "knocked" on the roof of the Kremlin.

The Kremlin is apparently stating this was a failed assassination attempt and that Putin is okay.

The Kremlin is reportedly considering retaliatory strikes against Ukraine in response.

EDIT:

More Footage of the alleged drone attack.

And a more fulsome statement from Russia on what they are calling a terrorist attack and an assassination attempt.

Thanks. I did not catch that "Russian Krasnodar" means "Krasnodar Krai" and not the city itself.

BTW - a quick search suggests Kerch-Krasnodar to be c.200km as the S-300 flies.

Pentagon has released a list of $300 million in military aid announced for Ukraine. This includes additional HIMARs rockets, 155mm Howitzers and Ammunition, TOW missiles, trucks and trailers, and explosives for obstacle clearance.

Russia has been bombarding the liberated city of Kherson throughout the day, seemingly without much guidance. Dozens of civilian casualties killed and wounded.

Another case of Iranian-made ammunition being used by Ukrainian forces. Curiously these 122mm rockets were apparently manufactured in 2023, so just the past few months, bringing up questions as to how they were sourced.

Ukrainian solider controlling a machine gun weapon station with a Steam Deck.

Russia to stop publishing oil & gas output data until April of 2024.

Air Launched Cruise Missiles from a Russian Tu-95MS Bomber Reportedly narrowly missed residential areas before plunging into the Caspian Sea after unknown malfunctions. Typically Russian bombers launch missiles over the Caspian Sea in part to avoid ordinance falling onto the land.

99% of the western news would have you believe VoLukedymr Zelinskywalker was dueling Darth Putler on the steps of the Kremlin these past 12 months rather than the closer TL : DR truth being that this is Winter War 2022-2023 'What if Finland had received a blank check from the rest of Europe and the USA?'

Even if Willie Brown's Commie Whore, who some call Kamala Harris, was President this wouldn't be happening since at some point she'd have gotten pissed and pushed back at the Ukrainian government's constant need for more resources. But Weekend at Bidens isn't President, he's a dementia ward patient and so Zelinsky can and has just shuffled in and filled the leadership vacuum.

=====

That said, Russia deserves everything they're getting with their 3 day war of aggression that will possibly continue until they get kicked back to the 2014 border since they outplayed themselves as much as the Kyiv government also outplayed them.

The Russians are killing Flipper and Ecco though.

Hundred dolphins washed ashore, likely due to increased Russian Black Seas Fleet sonar activity.

Russia Launched Shahed Drones at "Infrastructure" Targets in Odesa and other cities. A majority were shot down according to Ukrainian sources. Some were inscribed with messages of revenge "For the Kremlin" and "For Moscow.'

Russia however also states it's actually the US behind the Kremlin strikes, not Ukraine primarily.

Apparently another wave of Drone Strikes is underway today as well.

Destroyed Ukrainian Vehicles Lining the Road to Bakhmut.

Reports that a Russian Kh-47M2 Khinzal Air Launched Hypersonic Ballistic Missile was shot down over Kyiv by Ukrainian Air Defenses.

Still not confirmed as of yet.

Edit:
Allegedly the system responsible may have been the new Patriot SAMs recently delivered to Ukraine.

Confirmed now:
It was the first time Ukraine said that its military had used the advanced American-made missile system, long coveted by the Ukrainians.Lt. Gen. Mykola Oleshchuk, the commander of the Ukrainian Air Force, said that the Patriot system was used to shoot down a hypersonic Kinzhal missile fired by Russia over the capital on Thursday.

"I congratulate the Ukrainian people on a historic event," General Oleshchuk said in a statement posted on the Telegram messaging app. "Yes, we have shot down the 'unparalleled' 'Kinzhal.'"

War expands South of the Black Sea. Ukrainian Diplomat at a Black Seas Economic Conference recovers a flag ripped off it's holster by a Russian diplomat.

Zakhar Prilepin, a Russian propagandist and alleged war criminal, suffered serious injuries when his Audi Q7 suffered an explosion resulting in his injury. The incident occurred in Russia and was believed to be a remote detonation as it didn't occur until after his daughter was dropped off the vehicle.

Ukrainian Bayraktar Drone was shot down over Kyiv by Ukrainian Air Defense after apparently losing connection and going astray yesterday.

More Russian Air Defense Being Deployed in Russia Itself.

On the Hypersonic Ballistic Missile Front... 🤷‍♀️
