Russian Invasion of Ukraine 2022

--

**In recent weeks there have been many attacks on civilian infrastructure and civilians in many large cities in Ukraine. **

One example, which I hate to post, but here is a video of the aftermath of the cluster Iskander-M strike on a playground yesterday in Kryvyi Rih, when more than 19 people were killed, **9 of them children**, and more than 60 wounded.

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced killing of 80 foreign officers and destruction 20 of their vehicles / combat vehicles.

There is more footages in the internet outhere taken immediately after the attack, but because of the large number of injured and killed children, I don't want to and won't post it.

From a discord.
Russia doesn't care for anyone

Article:
NEW— Multiple sources have confirmed to me that Marianna Budanova, wife of Ukraine's military intelligence chief, was quietly flown to the US for advanced treatment in Dec. 2024 — over a year and a half after a suspected Russian poisoning that targeted her and other top Ukrainian officials in one of the largest assassination attempts of the war.

Her relapse, and the #US intelligence services' reported role in facilitating her care, shows both the long-term effects of the chemical attack and Washington's ongoing behind-the-scenes support for #Ukraine in its fight against invading Russian forces. A few other #HUR officials were also sickened in the poisoning, but Marianna suffered more severely due to her smaller size, officials said at the time. An internal investigation is ongoing, though few details have been released. @Bellingcat and @InsiderEng are also digging into the case.

Marianna initially recovered after treatment in 2023 but fell seriously ill again at the end of 2024 — a common pattern in arsenic and mercury poisonings, according to experts.

Sources say American military doctors invited her through HUR to receive care in the US after learning of her deteriorating condition. In Ukraine, advanced treatment for heavy metal poisoning is limited.

Marianna has lived with her husband, Kyrylo Budanov, in "The Island," a secure compound for intel workers in Kyiv, since the full-scale invasion started. She made her first public appearance since the poisoning at an event last month.

Her poisoning — as the wife of the top intelligence official in Ukraine — and her covert care abroad shows just how personal and persistent the threats remain for those on and off the front lines of the war in Ukraine.

Update on Budanov's wife and her situation in the aftermath of the poisoning attempt.

If this is the limit of current information, it remains to be seen whether their involvement is individual action (random volunteers) or state-sanctioned support. I expect there is a big political difference between the potential responses.

United States is withdrawing troops from the Jasionka Logistics Hub in Poland where equipment is prepared for shipment to Ukraine and will turn it over to NATO and Polish allies in what is a reported money saving measure.

Philanthropist Howard G. Buffett, one of Warren Buffett's sons, will have donated more then a billion dollars to Ukraine for various Humanitarian causes since the beginning of the Invasion. Most of the donations have focused on demining and rebuilding of infrastructure and agriculture in Ukrainian territory liberated from Russian control.

I'm almost certain they were volunteers or Chinese Nationals who somehow got coerced into Russian service.

Yet more evidence China is the real enemy, and Russia is just a reluctant puppet of China. Hopefully Trump continues to pressure them against each other.

The Russian Military is experiencing a surplus of recruits spurred by high signing bonuses and the belief the war in Ukraine will be over soon. Over a thousand joining every day which far offsets the estimated daily losses of 200 or so Russians in the Special Military Operation.

On Saturday the first F-16 in Ukrainian Service was lost in combat. Unsure as of yet whether it was shot down due to a R-37 air to air missile or an S-400 SAM system. Rest in Peace to Pavlo Ivanov, the twenty six year old pilot.

A new German military aid package, worth eleven billion Euros estimated, has been announced. It will include four IRIS-T Air Defense Systems plus missiles, more Patriot missiles, drones, MANPADs, tanks, artillery and Marders, and 130,000 rounds of 155mm artillery ammunition.

A Russian Missile Strike on the Northern Ukrainian City of Sumy resulted in the deaths of at least 31 people including two children and the injury of at least 84 more including ten more children, most if not all civilians. Casualties might've been higher due to it being Palm Sunday with many Ukrainians going out to attend religious events.
