Ukrainians have been make multiple such claims, but none came true so far, hell one Chechen commander was killed twice so far, but it still didn't held. Reminds me how many times Russians killed Basayev and Americans al-Baghdadi.

My thought on social media misinformation: The point of misinformation in warfare is not to make the enemy act on worng information, but rather to make so much noise that they cannot verify any information leaked by social media in an actionable time-frame. In effect, the point of misinformation in a modern war is the jam the singals that HU-INT analysts listen in on.
KGBstan would eventually win,nobody doubt it.But - why some people here think about KGB as poor victims which was made to attack Ukraine,is funny.
Or how people who blow up russians care about russian in Donbass.
Or,that Putina care about anything but staing alive - and for him it means keeping power.
I undarstandt,that you want hope after you saw what USA ruling elites are worth - but you do not find any hope in KGB.
Especially people from states other then USA should not praise Putin - becouse,if Putin could conqer Ukraine,their countries could be taken by stronger countries,and they would not have right to complain.
For example,Bulgary by Turkey.
Or how people who blow up russians care about russian in Donbass.

Ukraine just scuttled its largest ship.
A clear sign they know they are going to lose. Better if they had sailed it out and went down fighting with the flag nailed to the mast and still flying as it sinks. They might have even taken a few of Putin's boys with them. But it was their choice. Putin's boys will simply raise it back up and patch it up.
Starlink is going to become a targeting system for the Russians.
Elon knows this all too well.
Satellite systems are nothing but targets that one paints on themselves.
Considering what Starlink is and how it works...
Good luck inventing a way to summon practically unlimited ASAT missiles out of other dimensions.

Yes. I game with a dude who knows, and 'rotting' is a word that can reasonably be applied to most of their armed forces. He is hopeful that this conflict is the wake-up call needed to un-fuck the situation.

It is the Bild. Its a tabloid. This isn't confirmed, but then I wouldn't put it past the Bundeswehr to offload their worst gear and keep the little that is actually in working order for themselves just in case.

Thread Pruning Now With Commentary MK V
Most of the past few pages of posts were of people talking to each other about disagreements in the leading up to the War, which while related to this conflict, has already had a thread about it... with over two thousand posts discussing that topic. That can be found here:
I was going to move a lot of those posts there as well as move other posts in the Donb Ass thread but most of the conversational drift was blended into those topics and other tangential topics again (Colonialism, World War Two, Napoleonic Quotes about Logistics etc). So it all got crudely shunted in the Donb Ass thread.
Also like I stated before, this thread is meant more for content/news about the War, and not so much Commentary. There's been a lot of the latter. And in some cases there's been drifting/derailing conversation and then posters add a bunch of tweets or whatever so that it won't get moved to the other thread even though I pointed out in my last post to please not do that. On a post by post basis, some posts were moved to the Donb Ass thread and others not.
Regardless... people offering their own Commentary on what's going on and discussions thereof can go to the Donb Ass threads. I don't want this thread to turn out like CNN with Armchair Experts arguing what's going on and disagreeing about what they said or didn't say previously instead of... ya know... reporting on the actual events of this conflict and looking for confirmation bias of ones opinions and hot takes. This thread is about the Russian Invasion of Ukraine, and events and context directly related to that as stated before. A lot of the side discussions here could be happening (and have happened) in other threads already.
