By that point, the electors will have cast their vote and this will be a done deal. The courts will have to make up their mind before then and they'll have multiple options. The easiest one would be to let the House vote on it.
Yup. The federal government serves at the leisure of the states. If over half the states are dissatisfied with the results there are steps that can be taken to slow things down. That's the danger the Democrats have run with by trying to circumvent the constitution. Anytime the country veers into unknown waters the states get to have the final say.
