Conversely in a recent interview with the Associated Press President Zelensky stated that unofficial prisoner exchanges do take place on the battlefield, even if Russia officially suspended them since last August, though the number since then can be measured in the very low hundreds as opposed to the thousands that were exchanged prior to August 2023.

November saw the smallest shift in overall territorial gains since the beginning of the War with Russians acquiring approximately 4 square kilometers of territory. As comparison, even in October when the counteroffensive was slowing down more then it already had, Ukraine still had liberated some 50 square kilometers of territory from Russia.

A Fifteen Year Old Ukrainian Girl, Arina Yatsyuk, was last seen Back in March of 2022 during the opening stages of the Russian Invasion of Ukraine. While fleeing with her family, she was injured by Russian gunfire and Russian soldiers took the injured teenager into custody, apparently promising to give her medical treatment. Her body was finally found in the morgue of a Belarussian hospital over a year and a half later.

Culturally speaking I think the Russians themselves need about a hundred years to rediscover themselves. But in order to start that process, this last ghost of the Soviet Union must fall.

But they have nothing to rediscover. Russia never had any sort of limited government besides the weak and infamous Yeltsin time of semi-anarchy. Even many western countries had centuries of constitutional monarchy before the culture could support more democratic government. They had absolute monarchy, communism and Putin. If they are to ever have something better, they will have to develop it from scratch, they have no tradition of different kind of governance.

Russia may have lost a fourth Su-34 just days after losing three of them in one day to the newly acquired or redeployed Patriot Missile Battery in Kherson. A Su-30 is also reportedly shot down over the Black Sea but that is not confirmed as of yet AFAIK.
