Russian Invasion of Ukraine 2022

Oh, I'm sure they'll try to justify it, even if it was just a matter of being where they were at when the planes that shot them up happened to be flying by. Frankly, though, you really shouldn't be rushing to excuse it in their stead.
And you shouldn't be falling over yourself to paint Ukraine as some sort of shining city upon the hill, that must be defended at all costs to hold back the evil ambitions of Satan himself, Vladimir Putin. But here you are, feeding into the narrative that America and Europe and Ukraine are the good guys, when in reality the enemy of your enemy is not always your friend; sometimes, they're just another enemy.

I mean the truth Is every government is an enemy, that should be obvious after two years of universal house arrest.

Every goverment is a threat in some way and rooting for Ukraine to bleed Russian troops is in no way a bad thing especially when win or lose they will never be a threat to the United States like the Russians are! Thus realpolitik makes Ukraine the logical regime to prop up.

It's bad in the sense that people would die in making that happen, and I'd really rather they didn't.

So Japanese ships have been shelled twice so far, and Turkish ones as well...that could escalate quickly if Russia decides hitting Japanese ships in Ukrainian waters is fair game.

I would question what Japanese ships are doing there still, the rules of war dictate neutral ships are to avoid the area s best as possible, and the only countries on that part of the Black Sea are combatants

I'm going to stay neutral until we see more to be honest. We don't want a cluster like we had in Iraq, but there is no way in heck I'm going to give Putin an ounce of praise.

They are Japanese owned, but Panamanian flagged ships.

Also, Chechen Special Forces being sent to deal with the remnants of Azov.

Well the flag is another matter but Panama is also not involved so I would question what their ships are doing in that area..... also since the ships are Panamanian flagged it cant escalate as Panama most definitely doesn't want to get involved with a major power.

perhaps, but some of the responses in this thread have left me scratching my head.
Mine? As far as I can tell mine has merely been pouring water on people freaking out, and telling them that geopolitics always has been like this, while also deflating the optimism which seems premature.the only "pro russian" thing i did was explain what their views are which isn't really pro russian more explaining their mindset.

TBH neither one of those games appeals that much to me, if they do a broader sale though I will be fine with some of the proceeds of whatever I buy going to the Polish red cross in support of displaced or hurt Ukrainian civilians.

Frankly TWM smelled like your standard preachy SJW project, and I do not want to own a game like that.
All of you Ukraine fanboys though should put your money where your mouths are and support both an alternative of Steam and humanitarian relief.

That’s a reasonable decision on their parts, Snake Island has no civilian population and the only thing that would have happened if they fought back was getting shot at by the Russian navy until they died, wouldn’t surprise me if they had received prior order to surrender in case something like this happened.
Oh, lol, call me surprised.
Ukraine fanboys though, are probably angry that the glorious last stand proves to be nothing more than fiction.

I posted the exact same opinion in response to the same news and all I got was grumbling and growling directed towards me.
