Meh...then I won't bother to buy it. I still have the discs for the original game anyhow. That, or just replay the flashpoints in SWTOR featuring Revan, i.e. the hardest boss fights in the whole damn MMO. Thank God for SWTOR, and the fact they can't touch it, not without wiping out half their customer base. More than half, even, considering there are more Imperial players than Republic ones. Granted, a lot of those are Mandos, but that's further insurance for SWTOR, since plenty of those were fans of The Mandalorian, i.e one of the few good productions of Disney Star Wars.

Ironically, of course, SWTOR-era Mandos would probably look on their 'modern' counterparts with contempt. Well, maybe not the Death Watch, who'd probably bow to Mandalore the Vindicated/the Avenger without question, before getting sent to prove themselves. Probably under the Champion's command, to bring the usurper Duchess Satine in chains before Mand'alor for judgment.

SWTOR was pretty fun to play for free. Though I eventually got bored and deleted the game

What about the True Mandalorians under Jaster Mereel and later Jango Fett?

Which side would the Old Mandos have supported?

Why not both? The Mandalorians under the Vindicated and the Avenger were a diverse bunch, so long as they at least followed the general thrust of Mand'alor's policies, both the Vindicated and the Avenger were willing to let the various clans and factions to do as they pleased. Mandalorians aren't a uniform mass, after all. So long as the Resol'nare and Mand'alor's authority were respected, they are free to live their lives as they pleased.

That said, both Clan Fett and Clan Vizla/Viszla both seemed to have a presence in both the Vindicated and the Avenger's inner circle. More so the latter, with Khomo Fett serving as the Avenger's chief of staff-analog. I'm not sure though how Jango would actually think of the Old Mandos if they ever met, though I do think he'd respect the Avenger for actually storming the Jedi Temple alongside Darth Malgus.

On another note, when speaking of fan works about Star Wars, how about Auralnauts?

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic PS5 Remake is a REIMAGINING?

So yeah, seems they hired a very woke SJW to reimagine it for the 'modern audiences'.

So you can bet your bottom dollar that they’re going to make it woke as fuck and make all the male characters very flawed and toxic and make all the women strong and perfect.

The fact it's going to be a PS5 exclusive is balls as well. KOTOR is a PC game series.

I have to say, I looked at the title/descriptions of the Visions episodes, and...I cannot bring myself to actually watch the episodes right now.

There were like maybe 3 of them which seem...'passable' instead of 'cringe', just from the title.

It also feels like the creators of the stories are just reskinning old anime-episode tropes with Star Wars names/locales/terms.

No offense, but shouldn't it have been obvious from the trailers alone? At least, that's how it seemed to me, TBH.

The trailer only did the art style and such as a preview.

It is the episode titles that are what have turned me off to it.

Unfortunately, the video is riddled with hot takes, blatantly rooted in Razorfist's all-encompassing desire to be a contrarian hipster. Like claiming Marcia Lucas' editing had nothing to do with why the Star Wars films were good, because he liked George's editing in one of his far more obscure works; or accusing Kurosawa of plagiarism. You know, that thing he does with everyone who's work is too mainstream popular for his hipster sensibilities; and that he doesn't have nostalgia for of course, like Star Wars.

Which is why I personally prefer EckhartsLadder as my go to Star Wars YouTuber.

Also, Star Wars Visions is just giving anime a bad name.

The Rat is only capable of producing ratpiss quality garbage.

It is known.

Ekhart struck me as a bit of a Disney shill when I last watched him a year or two back.

If anything I'd describe Ekhart as a content optimist. He strikes me as the king of guy who for the most part takes new Star Wars content as it comes and enjoys it for what it is. I think the only time I really saw him actually mad in a video was when he was talking about the art theft going on.

this is going to be an unpopular opinion but that optimism is a breath of fresh air compared to all of the partisan hipster poising that both the right winged and the left wing seem to be dishing out as of late "It's not that i'm a hipster it just so happens that I dislike LITERALLY EVERYTHING that is made or is liked by a particular group that I just happen to despise on a political and personal level and if said group happens to like a particular genre or franchise I will make sure to brag about how I ALWAYS thought said franchise was overrated. *trademark catchphrase* *trademark catchphrase*

razor isn't as bad as the fandom menace in that regard but for the love of stars don't go to the man's twitter.

Kurosowa in fairness did plagiarize but not from the guy Razor accused him of..

IIRC he ripped off Shotaro Ikenami and the guys who inspired Ikenami, granted considering Kurosowa was putting out movies decades before Oni Hei was published it was more a friendly game of trolling between both men and more done out of love for the genre than anything else.

Far be it for me to assume Razor knows any of this though.

The most depressing aspect of visions is all that talent obviously just cashing a check.

That was already kinda the case in the original KOTOR, though, if you put a negative spin on it. The *entire point* of Carth is that he's a good-hearted but seriously flawed character who has *enormous* trust issues and a vindictive streak, whereas Mission is kinda the 'cute, strong, possibly-obnoxiously-spunky kid' archetype.
